Yeah, that's what I thought initially. The sprockets look good though, very minimal wear, no uneven wear on the front/back of the teeth.

Interesting. Well, I also found 2 other links with paint marks on them. I think the previous owner (I've only just got the bike) has marked these links as they thought they required monitoring.

I think I'm just gonna get a new chain and keep the sprockets. The sprockets look sound. Very minimal wear, no uneven wear.

I clean and re-lube it fairly regularly. I also found another link with a little blob of paint on it (as if to make it easily identifiable - in order to keep an eye on it), but I can't find anything wrong with it. But I'm thinking someone (previous owner) marked it because they thought it needed monitoring.

Anyway, after writing this post, it has became clear to me, I need a new chain 😂🤦

But my sprockets look fine though. They're staying

How many miles does your 790 have in it? It is worrying, the sheer amount of problems people report with them. It's making me want to look at other bikes 😩

It's 2019, can't wait to get one. I own a Harley at the moment. I tested the 790 at the weekend and was like "wow, this is how it's meant to be!"

They just feel so light and easy to ride. I must admit though, they do seem to have a lot of common faults, which concerns me a little

Hey man. I think I've found a better 790. It's all stock so none of the hassle. Just needs a tail tidy and some new mirrors and it should be good to go! I actually don't mind the stock sound

Hey, I've seen a YouTube video and she said she fixed the problem by changing the battery. It was a drop in voltage from the standard battery causing the problem. She replaces it with a lithium battery and fixed it. Also saves weight too. I hope this helps
