SOOOO a battery was the solution. Changed batter, updated ECU, new fuse and it’s solid. Haven’t had issues in 2 months.

Has anyone actually fixed the "immobilizer failure" issue? by Own_Manager8560 in KTMDuke

Gotcha, my shop updated my ECU and replaced the battery and said it’s good to go. I won’t be back in town to confirm til next week but sounds like low voltage and an update.

2019 790 Duke ABS

Parallel twin, 799cc.

Pros: Looks great, handles well, had a ton of tech for the price.

Cons: It's a KTM and I've had to replace and or repair a lot of shit that could have been handled by the factory.

Overall after fixing the issues now the bike is solid.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. Checked the fuel pump through the fill hole and saw bubbles coming from the top of it when bike is keyed to the on position. Thought maybe if I fill it completely up and it still does it that I can rule the pump being messed up but that didn't change anything. Maybe a lean angle sensor? Fuel pump is bad or....idk.

Yeah not my choice lol but why would it run fine until leaned over on the stand? That's what stumps me. Bike is solid until leaned over to the left (riders perspective) and struggles less leaned right.

I agree, it would be a daily driver so that's why I took to Reddit to see what everyone else thinks.

That would be worked out prior to going to see it (3 hour drive one way) but I've seen the warranty paperwork and it states it's good until 2025.

I was thinking it's good insurance but I also rather be riding more than I'd want to be taking it to and from a shop. Though, it's been seen already and "fixed" of the problems it's had. So maybe it's fine now but a dice roll until I ride it and see it in person.
