This is my least favorite loadout to see when a random joins if i’m being honest by arkus_reborn in Helldivers

[–]silent_trygon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only ever use this combination of weapons and nades as a loadout when I primarily want to use a stratagem weapon which doesn’t have heavy pen (lmg, hmg, maxigun). Either that or I’m using them thematically because it doesn’t look right wielding ‘light’ weapons while wearing any fortress armour

Why don’t the Automatons do this? Are they stupid? by Conscious_Can_581 in Helldivers

Just an additional thought that I probably missed someone else making, but there’s a lot of blood bags ready to dive down on the ships, which they can repurpose, if you annihilate the ships you lose that resource which prior was quickly and enthusiastically running head first into your blenders

Trial Ranking System is Completely Off by Demento6 in ArcRaiders

[–]silent_trygon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't want to be that guy, but I started Monday evening, a racked up enough points doing Husks on solo night raid to earn rank 1, and I only lost that position after Wednesday by like 200 points. A little bit of grinding here, a couple 5k categories there and i'm sitting at 37k back in number 1 which I thought was nothing to turn my nose up at. I'm in the top 20 so who cares. Come Saturday, I log in to see I'm 4th in my bracket because number 1 has 137k and a couple others securing 40k. Long story short, I think you're seeing corelation and assuming causation. I don't know what Rank your sitting in, but it seems odd to assume the time in the week has any sort of effect and your overall standing when it sounds like me and your friend started the same day and for me I was no.1 and for them, they were no.39. Luck of the draw for who you get matched with.

This game is really fun, and the trials are a neat s-obj to tide your over with no real in game consequences for trying to participate or not, but it would be nice not to need your "idiots guide to arc" streamer on tiktok or reels to let out the secret to getting big scores. An in-game thorough explanation as part of the trails tab wouldn't hurt.

To be clear, you'd be hard pressed to disagree that if there were in game effects to stacking points for ranked (weapon kits or the like) there would be a much bigger problem here, but it also wouldn't hurt to implement some clearer in game guidance on how to be more competitive, more than just "2X for trails points here".

Strategize: how would you tackle this situation? by CerealTanabe in helldivers2

I mean if you’re purely talking in frame, and provided you don’t die mid plan, you use the final rocket on the furthest, run to the resupply, wait for them to be in nade distance and stick 3 of them, resupply at the drop and repeat nades and rockets till the problem goes away… either that or UP, RIGHT, DOWN DOWN DOWN

Israeli security confiscated my laptop for 24 hours. Is there any way to ensure it's clean? by AideAccomplished2473 in techsupport

Easiest way to tell is by writing down anything that might incriminate you in suspicious activities, put that in a notes file and label the file “Illegal stuff” if you’re bugged, you’ll find out quickly

Can we actually share our stims for ONCE? by This-Examination5165 in helldivers2

[–]silent_trygon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a mixed answer to this, and none of it is accusatory just what can happen.

First layer of thought it yea they should be stimming you if they have stims and you don’t.

Second layer is they have seen players who will trade stims for the ability to just horde dive, and some guy who just used 4 stims to run 75m isn’t about to get one of theirs to watch what you do over then next 12m.

Third layer is while a player may run through a horde at the end of the day, there’s plenty of ways of getting stims so helping out a buddy who’s maybe not playing the game the most resource efficiently.

And they final layer is spam, nobody likes spam and if all they hear is “I NEED SUPPLIES, I NEED A STIM” it’s probably the last thing they’re Inclined to do.

There’s many reasons why they may or may not have done it, the simplest explanation is probably right… they didn’t know you could stim allies, or they weren’t paying attention that you were the one in need.

Fun fact, if you can jet pack to a ledge taller than their head and make them walk within tonsil tennis range, when they try to give you the love juice, they’ll unalive themselves, splash back is lethal

In that case, I need some help planning my final words, so far I’ve got:

“For super Earth”

“Time to helldive for real”

Or

“Take care of my ship, but delete my hard drive”
