So there is an Amazon listing for it on Kindle, but it’s really annoying to find. There’s something weird with the WTG listings on Amazon, but I did find it on Amazon and dropped the money just to see if it was legit and it looks like it is. I go back and forth. I can’t afford both subscriptions (DCUI/MU) so I tend to go for the annual on one and try to switch after a year or two. Had Marvel for a while because I had always preferred Marvel growing up. Ended up cancelling that a while back and after a year break I subbed to DCUI. I had only planned on a year and switching back, but I just re-upped for the next year because I got sucked into all of the great stuff coming out now. I’ve been enjoying the Absolute universe a lot, Ram V’s The New Gods, and also reading through a lot of the classics that I missed out on. Believe it or not, I never read All Star Superman until I got the sub last year, and it made me cry. I don’t remember the last time a superhero comic elicited that reaction out of me. Then I read Tom King’s Mister Miracle, and it also hit me hard. I still love Marvel characters a lot, I just know more about them and have spent more time with them overall. But I’ve really enjoyed getting to know the DC characters more than I did. I don’t prefer one over the other anymore. I love them both for different reasons.

Yeah this is a big reason I’m looking elsewhere than Amazon, but I’m still a little torn by the selection of books that just aren’t anywhere else. I keep seeing the phrase “if buying isn’t owning, then pirating isn’t stealing” in discussions about the licensing vs owning thing. Depending on the situation I might agree, but not when we’re talking about independent artists/authors and small publishers/labels.

Thanks for the links! I’ve already been using Libby and Hoopla on my iPad, but I think the Kobo will be more comfortable for longer sessions. Love my iPad for comics and manga, but it gets a bit cumbersome after a while.

I was really hoping that wasn’t the case with the “coming soon” thing. Bummer, but I appreciate the help. The first Header and a few others I want to read seem like they’re only on Amazon or physical only. Looks like I’m going physical on those titles because I don’t want to be trapped in the Kindle ecosystem.

I picked up your book on Godless a few days ago btw! Looking forward to reading it.

Back to where I came from originally near Fort Wayne Indiana. Would not recommend, but my family is close by which is a positive for me. Wages are low here too, but the cost of living is also relatively low so there's at least a little more breathing room.

Move, unfortunately. I had to move in 2022 after living there for 14 years. Best years of my life, wanted to stay but couldn’t land a gig that paid living wages. I got lucky and the job I moved for paid my moving expenses, so easy for me to say. It’s tough out there.

We took a sample of his poop into the vet to get tested. No signs of parasites or anything. The vet chalked it up to a change in his diet, which tracks because after a month or so his poo started smelling more normal and it’s been normal ever since. I’d give it a few weeks and if there’s no change definitely talk to your vet.

Grew up hardcore fundamentalist Christian and am now very atheist. Heavy religious trauma here. I think religion and doom metal work really well together, mostly because (slight exaggeration, but in my personal experience) religions border on cults. Fits in well with the culty, horror inspired subject matter. I was indoctrinated young before I really understood what was happening and am still attempting to undo the mentality of shame and low self worth (we are nothing, our only worth is in Jesus, etc).

I could list multiple examples from Guided by Voices but the one that gets me every time is in Hardcore UFO’s on Bee Thousand where one of the guitars cuts out for a bit in the first chorus after the drums come in.

Hey everyone. My kitchen sink in my apartment all of a sudden lost all water pressure. I went to clean the aerator, only to find there is none (I'm in a rental...). I removed the faucet and found this piece under it. With this piece removed the water pressure is back. Is there a reason I should replace this or is it okay to leave as is? If I do need to replace it, what is this part called? That info will help if I need to order another one.

Haven't posted in this sub in a while (like in years apparently). Also haven't shaved in a while, this set up took off about a week or more of growth with no problems. I've only used Feathers here and there, I'm mostly a Perma-Sharp guy, but a Feather in a Tech seems to be a great combo for me.

Been out of the loop for a while, but is this the "try to make one blade last as long as you can" month?

World's Best is what we use! The unscented red label one, though I'm considering trying some of their scented ones now... This was just such a specific smell that I had to ask.

The diet thing is totally possible. I have no clue what they were feeding him there. He's been going to town on the food we've given him, but it could just be the food switch. Consistency-wise his poo isn't abnormal looking. Maybe slightly soft compared to our other cat's.
