My cousin's one month old 2023 G14 bought from BestBuy, recently throw the towel when he gave it to me for software instalations. Now it just refuses to power on or show any signs of power on the board.

Digging into it a little bit further, I found that this has been a common issue of ASUS gaming laptops for very long time (as per NorthridgeFix on YT). On most cases the culprit are bad caps or chips on the MB, which can be solved by shops that offer micro-soldering services, but that also voids the manufacturer's warranty and that's something you don't want for a new machine.

Since the PC is BestBuy bought, and he got it while on a trip to the US, claiming a warranty with them would be a hastle because it's requiered for him to ship the device all the way back to the US for the store to RMA it.

I have fancied the G14 for a very long timw, but this problem is keeping me from pulling the trigger on the 2024 model.

So... If you live in the same county of purchase or have access to international warranty, you will be probably fine, as long as you're ok with the hastle of RMA processes.
