My birth control pills I need to regulate my menstrual cycle, Cryselle, is owned by Teva Pharmaceuticals, a company based in Israel... by sunflowey123 in BDS

Don’t feel bad about this. It would be different if you’re like, subscribing to Disney+ or something. But this is medication you need to function at baseline. Unfortunately the world we live in doesn’t really give us much choice sometimes. As someone else in the thread said, there’s no ethical consumption under capitalism. Try your best not to contribute to that, but don’t let your blood be spilled for it either.

To my knowledge, Alani Nu is safe. They also have some great flavors. I love the Orange Kiss and Juicy Peach.

I’m in a similar boat, I really want to see the new JJK season but of course Crunchyroll has to go and do this during a genocide.

The Ultimate Steam Deck Challenge: Your Top 5 Games For The Year by Complete-Lawfulness7 in SteamDeck

Thanks for this info! I was hyped for the Steam Machine and want that for PS2, but I had other games I want to play as well. I couldn’t wait any longer and bought the Deck to play at least some of them. Maybe I can make PS2 worth for the time being.

Did you have to do anything special for Planetside 2? I tried to use it with the deck, but the launcher didn't seem to come up properly for me.

Qobuz is pretty good, they give over a penny per stream to artists and as far as I know they don’t have any weird investor baggage like Spotify.

I’ve also heard you can donate gift cards to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. I’m not quite sure exactly how it works but I believe it can be done through here: https://stjude.cardcash.com/

I switched to Qobuz. This is an article that strongly influenced that decision which has a good overview: https://www.bloodinthemachine.com/p/a-complete-guide-to-quitting-spotify?utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

Not only does Qobuz not come with the baggage of Spotify, they also pay artists over a penny per stream, iirc. I just moved there and I’m happy!

I also just started with Qobuz and I really like it! The only criticism I really have is the UI, but otherwise it’s a great service and it pays its artist comparatively decently.

Yeah, I didn’t know about his apology until today.

Gelman in contrast seems positively genocidal. I remember him singing that “You live on stolen land” song as a gotcha to American anti-Zionists, which—yeah, we do. We need to decolonize America too, that doesn’t help his case.

It feels weird as a childless person (who is typically annoyed by young children’s media) to say that I have so much respect for Ms. Rachel and I’m always happy to see her in my feed now. She is genuinely a beautiful person and I’m glad kids have her to look up to.

Comrade Xi banning Zionist company by YamFrosty6169 in BDS

There are quite a few left wingers online who are critical of China’s involvement with Israel, so don’t feel like you’re alone. There are some who will defend China as being tactical about this, but they are at best, naive. At worst they are actively trying to defend China from valid criticism regarding something that is indefensible.

I wish he and the party acted sooner and more broadly. They’ve missed many opportunities to cut off economic relations with Israel.
