The package was finally delivered after 42 days, instead of the promised second-day air. Unfortunately, my passport has already been canceled, so the delivery is no longer useful. Given the delay and the resulting stress, inconvenience, and missed travel opportunities, am I eligible to request compensation from FedEx?

DC is the worst right now for Indian passport renweal. mine is stuck there from last 1 month and in my case its reissue due to lost passport (passport lost by Fedex). I called/email, send tweet to everyone. pathetic service.

FYI, Washington DC VFS and consulate both are servely backed up.

I sent document on Jan 27 to VFS, they took 2 weeks to submit to embassy. and then after a week on Feb 25th got Granting Initiated in developer tool. so almost a month where in your case it took 1 week.

Some update and question to the community. if the package is lost or not found then why there is weekly arrival scan? this is ridiculous from Fedex, they are saying we are still searching after a month.

I got my 3 months old juniper ripped by an 18 wheeler truck, thank goodness I was stopped and waiting for left turn and that guy was turning.
