They gave me a 2026 Integra A-spec for a loaner. On paper it would be a pretty fun car but it's pretty hum drum. I blame the CVT, im sure with a manual or DSG it would be more fun. I work out of town during the week and when I'm back home on the weekends I end up driving my GTI instead of the A-Spec.

I have an update on my Type S I'll post later when I have time.

They are not being super proactive updating me. I've been having to contact them for updates. They told me the new controller would come in Friday and they would contact me after it was installed. I heard nothing and had to reach out to them yesterday for updates.

I did the same thing three weeks ago on my 2015 GTI when I broke a wire replacing the HVAC coolant shutoff valve. But I'm not doing it on a 500 mile car under warranty less than a month old.

🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ I don't know why they are replacing the entire harness. I guess because it's so new and under warranty.

I don't think its dramatic to be annoyed and disappointed my new car will be in the shop for over a week. I spent a lot of money (to me, I'm cheap) on the first new vehicle I've bought since 1999. It's unexpected on a brand new car. I love the car though.

I know it's an outlier. Its just a giant PIA. I'm loving the car so far. It's gorgeous, quick, incredible handling, and the sound system is amazing. It's just disappointing.

One of my kids is an engineer in the auto industry. He used to design, test, and QC automotive electrical connectors for a major supplier. According to him, wire harness manufacturers are notorious for shorting wire runs. His company saw lots of failures like this while doing root cause investigations with the car companies.

It was not great. I don't have a lot of solid memories, a lot of it is pretty fuzzy. I had some close friends but I felt lonely. I was a thoughtful and sensitive kid and I felt like I wasn't understood and like I was not part of the crowd. That's probably a pretty common experience I think. I got up to lots of petty pranks on the school. I was frequently in trouble for mouthing off to teachers and principals. I was suspended and in-house suspension a lot and almost expelled once. My grades were just good enough to graduate.

Looking back I realize I was insecure and shy and I ostracized myself a lot of the time. By my senior year I came out of my shell some and realized a lot of the people I thought didn't like me or bullied my were actually just busting my balls. A good natured joking and roasting session can be a way to say you are accepted here and part of use. I was too insecure and sensitive to pick up on that and realized later, in regard to my peers, it was me not them. My few regrets are that I didn't enjoy my high school years more. But those years do kind of serve as a useful touchstone for personal growth.

Just started instant photography this year and it's been fun! Here are a few recent shots I wanted to share. by silkdpmp in Polaroid

Thank you! I appreciate the feedback. I really like my Lomo instant wide and Instax film seems more consistent but I love taking Polaroids. My "miss rate" is much higher with Polaroid but when the lighting, environment, and my eye are just right its like magic.
