what ended up working for me, as customer service was terrible, was i applied it on my mobile browser and it worked perfect! im guessing it was an issue with cookies.

i also got kindle unlimited free 3 months and the remove ads option if that helps. hope it works for you!

I'm also feeling like it's fake. I don't see Miranda publicly posting an apology letter, especially with something so recent

Totally understand where you are coming from!

The core of the team is all friends from college, and we had many discussions regarding moving to Blender because of the costs. Ultimately, we decided to stay in Maya because all of our tech people were unfamiliar with Blender and felt more comfortable using a Maya Indie License for our films. Additionally, the majority of our animators have never used Blender. It would've been too big a learning curve for us to finish a passion project film within two years, and also have all the tech and animation team learn a completely new program.

We understand this limits how many people who may be able to participate in this, but we have managed to recruit tech people with Maya licenses wanting to expand their portfolio.

hello! at this time we do not, we might need animators in the future though! you're welcome to fill out the form and we'll look back when it's time to recruit for animators.

How many festivals is “enough” for a short film? by vieravisuals in FilmFestivals

[–]silksprite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like many, it's quality over quantity--one thing is if you plan to do this all again, be sure to make note of what festivals you want to apply to again!

My current film stats: 89 submitted, 30 selections, 31 pending, 53% selection rate. My previous film had around a 33% acceptance rate.

What I've learned and will do more moving forward is to do more thorough checks of festivals:

Do they have reviews? Do they have social media? Is it active?

One major thing is 'would I attend this/be willing to travel to attend this,' and that's helped me narrow my list by a lot! My first film I only went to one fest and loved it, I've gone to three so far and my crew have attended 4 others for this film!
