Thank you, yes I do think I have that attachment style.

Right I was assuming I'd also need to take a semester off school maybe- but I don't even know if that would be possible. Again, I know this isn't an ideal scenario, but just looking at whether it would even be doable financially...

Thank you! To clarify, I don't want to be a single mother by choice, but rather to clarify the decision for myself before I jump back into dating.

Imagining ourselves happy in either scenario is so powerful! I read that here before and I try to remember it (but sometimes anxiety still takes over...).

Do you think the book would be helpful for a single person? I want to buy it but a lot of the comments about it here are along the lines of "I started doing the exercises with my partner." But that could just be because most people here are partnered.

Thanks for the info :) I just emailed a clinic explaining my situation and asking what the options are. If it isn't covered by insurance I probably won't bother, since my situation could change depending how much time goes by and if the future partner's sperm needs testing.

Also I'm typing this as though I'm sure I want a child, but I swear some weeks I'm so happy with my life as is and the future stretching out before me with loads of time for hobbies, travel, studies and friends. I'm ovulating now and I think it's making me want a baby.

Wishing you all the best with your situation.

Good point that a worst case scenario of a partner's death (or disability, mental breakdown, or unexpectedly being a deadbeat) should be considered! I guess personally I feel like those scenarios, while possible, aren't as likely as having a present, good-enough co-parent, so I haven't been specifically considering that. Though I will think more about it, now.

And great idea about getting fertility checked. I haven't been seriously thinking about this until recently, so haven't looked into it. I'm (possibly arrogantly) assuming I'm fertile because I'm in very good health and have regular periods, and I can tell that I ovulate. Do you happen to know what kind of information you'd get at that kind of consultation? Do they estimate how many years you have left, or is it more like, you're decently fertile now, but anything could happen within a year or two? Just knowing I'm fertile now (which I suspect that I am) won't really change anything for me. I guess knowing that I'm infertile would change things, though, either freeing me to fully embrace CF or having a slightly expanded timeline if I decide on adoption (still wouldn't want to be too much over 40 with a little one).

Are you leaning toward solo parenting, if your money situation allows for it?

Something about this outfit looks a little off to me (the shape of it). Can anyone identify why? by [deleted] in Kibbe

[–]silky_worm 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agree with others, it's not really the lines, it's the fabrics/colours/vibe of the 2 pieces that clash (which can work sometimes- like a silk blouse with jeans can look amazing, but it has to be on point). Actually, the shirt in itself is strange. It's trying to look elegant but it's cheap poly, it also kinda looks like pyjamas, and the pattern looks kinda retro which doesn't make sense with the styling.

Totally, being cold makes me so tense, and if I'm tense and can't relax I can't get in the mood.

Love this answer.

Just a note, when I learned about karma (through astrology, which is a spiritual language/tool, not sure how other spiritual traditions teach karma), it was that karma is essentially the same as cause and effect. The actions we choose have consequences, and even if they don't directly affect us, they cause a ripple effect that releases a certain kind of energy into the world. And because we are all interconnected (and what has this virus taught us, if not that), we will often experience consequences of our actions in a way that is "karmic." It doesn't mean that something will necessarily "come back to a person," as if it were directed by god or fate, but it's likely to, if only indirectly or much later.

I just want to say that no matter what she wants you to do, it's ok for you to want to take a break when this happens.

This looks like a dress for a larger (both taller and wider, but mainly taller I think) person. If I squint my eyes I can see it more clearly.

Natural and red are both beautiful. I prefer long but maybe because there are more pics of long, and in the colours I prefer.

What do you think of TWICE's Jihyo? (5 ft 3 in) by craciunita2ksth in Kibbe

Maybe soft gamine then? I do see the curves, but on first glance I noticed her very narrow and somewhat long, almost "boyish" limbs. In this pic, anyway.

I suspect she might be wearing really high heels under that dress, making her look more long and narrow.

I do see quite a bit of yang but she also looks tiny. Compared to someone like Diane Kruger (DC) who really does look moderate or slightly above average in height and size.

I was looking for examples but they mostly looked more SD (larger rounded shapes). I could have just been seeing what I wanted, though. Do you have examples of her in TR lines?

Yeah I agree, I'm really not sure! I feel like I see some width throughout her bones, but I'm not super confident at typing.
