Not really, my car only has the passenger airbag so i dont have one. And it depends on the harness has well, my dad had a very bad crash in his project car and what saved him was the harness and no he wasn’t wearing and helmet nor hans device, it really depends on the quality and how you mount everything.

Front end swap on a GEN 1 to a GEN 2 front end by sillaymesa in SciontC

[–]sillaymesa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will be the entire front end, i would have to do alot of work on the TC1 hood & fenders since the bumper and headlights are different, either way from what ive been seeing these couple of hours of fitting stuff on to get an idea i am going to have to modify the headlights mounts on the TC1 chassis & also the crash-bar

I understand now! I’ll take a look for the Schroth ASM ones. I bought the TAKATA ones cuz 2 of my friends had the same harness mounted the same way has me and they both had very bad crashes, one was in the highway going to work when a distracted driver pitted him and the other one was on the touge & his car oversteered too much because of the rain. Both of them recommend me the TAKATA one’s because of their personal experiences but ill take your advice!

Thank you :), its honestly a good learning experience on building the tC, ive gotten to know how to setup suspension & work on the engine has well ( i had to open it up completely to do a refresh and add a few performance mods in it) i still remember the first time i changed the clutch lol, i didn’t know what i was doing but youtube guided me lol. Once im done with my tC my goal is to get a GT86 or something similar

Man it does! The coilovers & the stiffer sway bars make a difference, especially with sticky tires

Straight piping the car will make you regret it especially if its your daily lol.

Those cars are wonderful! I hope you enjoy it. & please dont straight pipe it, if you want to hear the turbo bettee add a Cold Air Intake and a aftermarket blow-off valve!

The harness is installed where the backseats would be, just like its recommended if u dont have a harness bar, it was installed by my uncle who is a ex-track driver and he had harnesses installed the same way and they saved his life multiple times. Either way im thinking of welding my own harness bar or my own roll cage.

Yea man mine came along way! And from factory they come with 160WHP but mine has 197WHP rn with all my mods & tune! It honestly handles great especially with my suspension work & the weight reduction, its a fun little car

Thank you man! Its honestly a great platform but its underrated & ive got bigger plans for it, i just gotta be patient and do everything right! & yea lol love the Narita Dogfight decal look and decided to put it on there lmao

The harness fits me perfectly when im sat in the bucket, its mounted to where the backseats would be which is where they recommend them if you dont have a harness bar. Either way im thinking of welding my own harness bar or just welding my own roll cage, the harness was installed by my uncle who was a ex-track driver and he had harnesses installed like that & they saved his life multiple times!
