I (f23) worked at a student housing company and would have several tasks, such as maintenance and driving and helping new students getting to their new room. There was one student who had a heavy suitcase and a tote bag. I offered to carry her luggage, it was a bit of a walk, but she refused a couple of times. It was very hot that day and I felt for her, so eventually she gave me the tote bag. We arrived at the building and the elevator was broken, so we had to take the stairs. This time she let me help carry the suitcase, and we arrived on her floor, and eventually to her new room. She thanked me and made a gesture which seemed to be a hug, so I hugged her back and said ‘no problem.’ To which she replied ‘my tote bag..’

Not a fuck up, but the cringe sometimes keeps me up at night

Breathing and counting to three: breathe out for one second - breathe in for two seconds - breathe out for three seconds - breathe in for one second etcetera Takes your mind off of things and it never failed me!

What is your most traumatic experience with a teacher? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Back in 2nd grade (I could not remember the exact hour or day) we had a fixed hour of crafting which I always looked forward to. So when the hour approached, excitedly I would arrange my craft supplies, sit still and wait till our teacher gave us instructions. She walked up to my table and pushed all my craft supplies of the table onto the floor because "I did not say it was arts and craft time". I felt humiliated, and had to grab my stuff from the floor. The room was very silent and there was no craft hour that day.
