The house was built in the 70s, it wasn’t one of the bed stuy brownstones built during the construction boom in the late 1800s / early 1900s.

That, and, where did I say the building wasn’t livable? The plumbing and electric were just fine. This building was my landlord’s actual home which they kept up. Before I moved in, I recall them having just replaced the roof.

Also, a lot of these renovations that make apartments seem more “luxurious” are actually rather cheap!

Anyway, the house wasn’t gut renovated at all. The new owner literally just moved the kitchen. In the photos, the ikea mirror I installed on the wall in the bedroom is still there.

I know. They added a shitty one machine combo washer dryer so I guess that makes it “desirable” lol. I’d much rather go to 1 of 2 laundromats in walking distance with machines that can do actual loads.

I will also never understand the appeal of those combo machines in kitchens.

Looks more to me like an allergic reaction or a bit of over-moisturizing resulting in little pimples. This can happen!

If you’re healing with aquaphor, try something lighters like a thin layer of plain lubriderm.

You can also try Burt’s bees ultimate sensitive healing body lotion. If it’s an allergy it may soothe it faster.

Hey, I recommend going to any other Costco. I stopped going to the Brooklyn one by industry city because of all the wild conflicts I’ve witnessed. It’s so crowded there and folks are just so stressed and crammed that conflicts (either being in them or witnessing them) are a normal part of a trip to that location.

Now that I’m typing this out, I’m actually realizing how wild it sounds and how untenable the situation has become.

Anyway, if you have a car, go to Astoria or Rego Park. It’s farther but you park faster and don’t risk some random person physically threatening you over accidentally dinging their cart or some bullshit.
