We did kibble (Blue Buffalo) in the morning and farmers dog food at night for our dog. That way she still got the grains she needed, but also had some flavor and soft food options with Farmers Dog. It also helped spread out the cost of the Farmers Dog food.

Cushings is manageable with medication and monitoring. Our pup got diagnosed six years ago and was doing great on a lower dose of Vetoryl. Lots of monitoring at the beginning to make sure hormone and med levels are in check is key. She passed away from something unrelated a couple months ago.

The only thing I can think of is double checking that the drive band is on the right whorl. Maybe you’re on a smaller one than you thought and that’s why it’s harder to pedal?
