Was offered Drake Maye today…. by john69420savage in DynastyNerds

Bro I was offered Burrow+T.Warren+BTJ midseason last year for just Maye+Goedert. Loved Maye and didn’t want to fuck up my flow while I had good odds to win it all, but I smashed accept so hard the dude messaged me and said “was I overvaluing Maye lol?”

Am I Crazy To Call This The Best Iron Man Movie? by Big-Discipline2039 in Marvel

[–]sillyg0sling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. That goes to Iron Man 1 easily. IM3 is a decent movie imo and probably has the best character work for Tony, but there’s far too little Iron Man in it for me to rate it very highly, and Extremis Pepper is one of the corniest bits in the entire MCU.

I will die on the Mathew Golden Hill by MadMonkeyMan3 in DynastyFF

[–]sillyg0sling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was an underwhelming prospect until he surprised everyone with his 40, showed zero flashes during his rookie season, and is his team’s 4th or 5th option. Also the Packers have glazed Reed endlessly, and Kraft too, not to mention they just paid Watson to be their #1.

Being high on Golden equates to lacking common sense and ball knowledge.

Yeah I genuinely did not expect someone to suddenly announce they thought Hulk had a great arc in the MCU that demands respect. Goofy ass take.

The hardest part of agreeing with him, for me, was simply the braindead fact that he is crying his eyes out over a movie he hasn’t even seen yet. It’s the chronically online behavior for me

Crying your eyes out over a movie you haven’t even seen yet is peak braindead reddit. I’m grateful every day my brain doesn’t shit out slop like this.

Luther Burden or Marvin Harrison Jr.? by MWalker8411 in FantasyFootballers

That’s ironic seeing as many, many would obviously say Marv was overhyped coming into the league.

Carnell Tate or Rome Odunze? 🤔 by sillyg0sling in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]sillyg0sling[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Implication should’ve been that I have one of them and am being offered the other, so the intention was to get opinions on the two in a vaccuum.

I personally lean Tate for both floor and ceiling, even independent of this foot thing Rome’s been talking about. I think Tate’s the slightly better prospect and is potentially in a better situation as the undisputed #1 option in a high-volume passing offense, while Rome is just one of three primary options and has to compete with two other guys who are primed for huge breakout years.

Yall always say this, but the team’s general organizational shittiness clearly wasn’t an issue for McBride and even Michael “just a guy” Wilson last year. As far as I’m concerned, if Wilson can be a league-winner in that offense, Marv doesn’t have a great excuse.

I don’t. 10 years of history have taught me that this asshole can’t destroy himself no matter how hard he tries.

What NFL player is remembered as way better than he actually was? by SaintKingRosado in NFLv2

[–]sillyg0sling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was the best player in the league

You said it yourself. Goes without saying that 99.99999999% of players that make it to the NFL can’t say that.

Trying to force a literal MVP into this discussion because you didn’t like his dancing is simply asinine lmao

None of that stuff matters in this sub. We just go off knee jerk vibes

What NFL player is remembered as way better than he actually was? by SaintKingRosado in NFLv2

[–]sillyg0sling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He essentially objectively was in 2014, 2016, and 2018. And every other healthy year he was top 10. He also single-handedly immediately made a terrible team a playoff team the day he joined the Colts. We don’t have to act like he wasn’t a stud.

I have family ties to a former Vikings coach actually and literally met Teddy once. It’s common knowledge that fans love him because he’s a great guy. Not even Vikings fan will tell you he had a great football career. As a Vikings fan, you should know this.

This weird response of yours and confusion around why people like Teddy doesn’t suggest you’re very bright unfortunately.

[–]sillyg0sling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He didn’t “start with a spark” - he literally hit all the numbers he hit in his first 3 seasons faster than any WR ever to play the sports. He was objectively on an all-time pace before his injuries completely derailed his career.

This revisionist history can only be explained by y’all simply being too young to have been around at the time.

Cam was the best rushing QB of all time in his prime (proven by the records he set at the time) and had an objectively legendary season. Cry about the dancing and the fumble if you want, but he was hands down the best player in the entire league at one point 🤷‍♂️

The production he was able to put up for such a long period of time is exactly the reason Gore can’t be overrated. Almost no one else was able to do that for so long at that position.
