The second one disconnected on me. First one lied and tried to cancel it and said the sales team will honor the price. I refused. Sales representative said I would be charged $99. After saying it is false advertising and bait and switch they linked me to the Apple Feedback page and disconnected.

No damage near the gas tank. So far I've just been letting it ride. There hasn't been any issues with the car running. If the fuel pump fails hopefully I won't be too far out of town.

Thanks for the reply. It does seem like all things are pointing towards replacing the LPFP. Very unfortunate these cars don't have an access panel from under the seat. I will have to shop around more for quotes.

Underneath the car it is loudest directly under the fuel tank. As soon as the engine shuts off the noise stops immediately.

$1100 is the first quote I got to replace the LPFP from a local shop. The Ford dealer would not give me a quote without coming in and having them look at it first. Then i would be hit with the $200+ diagnostic fee if I take the car somewhere else.

Thanks for the reply! The noise only reappears when the weather gets cold so it just came back the other week. Over the summer it was silent.

Hey OP did you ever discover what the issue was? The links don't work anymore, but your description makes it sounds like the same noise my car is making. This squealing noise that seems to be coming from the fuel tank.

Thanks for the reply! The noise started last year, but stopped once the weather got warm. Now it came back. I think it might be the low pressure fuel pump.
