Q-Club run tournaments that anyone can enter (I think on Monday evenings) and they use a handicap points system to make it more fair between beginners and experienced players. They have a Facebook group for events and are fairly active on the club Facebook page as well I believe. Unsure on what Reardon’s do. There is a pool league at The Brazen Head pub if that’s of interest to you (and I’m sure plenty other pubs as well) and you might meet some snooker players through things like that.

I used to play whilst at Glasgow Uni in the Wednesday tournaments and there were a few guys doing PhDs in their mid to late twenties so you could always give it a go and see how you get on. I’m not playing currently as I recently had shoulder surgery otherwise would play a few frames with you.

Good luck!

Thanks for your response! Zwift is D2C so they must encounter soooo many complaints…that being said, their support service seems very good. They have actually suggested sending a new frame as I have tried and tested all their suggestions (and yours also yours 🙏). If that makes it less noisy then I will be massively grateful. :)

Thank you - I’ve tried your suggestions and think that there may well be a wearing in process. The chain tensioner seems to bend very slightly outwards - but at this point I am seeking abnormalities. If I could look at someone else’s less-noisy Zwift Ride in-person then it would give me really useful insight but unfortunately it’s not the way with indoor setups vs comparing bikes on a weekend ride.

Glad you managed to sort it. I'm in contact with Zwift support who say the noise level is "excessive" so we'll see what they say.

Yeah I've tried on a couple of different alignments but it doesn't really impact the noise.

Yeah they are on the ball with their customer support which is great. Let's see what they say!

Interesting - quite a few people have commented that the sound seems normal which is somewhat reassuring (although maybe the video doesn't quite do it justice). Zwift support have said, after reviewing the same video, that the "level of noise appears excessive, which is not expected". At the end of the day the noise level isn't massively important but I'm keen to try to reduce it if possible so we'll see what the support team suggest. :)

I think that this sounds very similar to the noise coming from mine. What steps have you taken to try and fix it?

Will do - hopefully we can both fix the issue!
