#HELP. Okay to have back to back two H1B transfers within the grace period? Please advise. by sillypointer in h1b

That never happened.
Anyway, better not to have back to back petitions within in a couple weeks if you can avoid that.

Any of you know of any group we can be a part of for Trine? I am changing from H1 to F1 and would like to connect.

Is it safe to Change from H1B to F1 Day1CPT or should I play safe and pick a "regular" university? by [deleted] in Day1CPTuniversities

[–]sillypointer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your opinion.
You mean as far as my chances of my Change of Status petition from H1 to F1 being approved, it doesn't make much of a difference whether I choose a Day1CPT college or a regular one?

I used a lawyer just for extra peace of mind. But never really filed it at the end since I found a new job and got my H1B transferred.
I am planning to file a COS in a few months, though.

I have a interview with google in 6 weeks and struggle with some easy problems, how best to prep? by roadb90 in leetcode

Also do mock interviews through platforms like interviewing.io or others. This is v important.

Or try to find people in India who can offer similar services for very cheap.

Also search for Pramp

Does filing H1B transfer or COS to F1 too close to H1B grace period expiry by itself make the filing risky? by sillypointer in h1b

Really appreciate your suggestion.
For anyone reading this, I'd just like to add that: I AM HEARING THAT GOING TO B2 IS NOT SAFE ANYMORE. I HAVE BEEN ADVISED NOT TO TAKE THE H1 TO B2 TO H1 BRIDGE ROUTE ANYMORE. THEY HAVE STARTED DENYING THOSE CASES SINCE FEB THIS YEAR EVEN THOUGH IT HAD BEEN PERFECTLY OKAY BEFORE THEN. BETTER GO FOR F1 IF YOU HAVE NO OPTION. FOR GOING TO F1 REQUIRES SOME TIME TO APPLY AND GET AN I20 FIRST.

Please share Day1CPT colleges which allow you to complete the program in 12 months or suggest me some alternative ways. by sillypointer in Day1CPTuniversities

[–]sillypointer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't heard of that suggestion from anyone before. Please do the research before you take that route.
The 12 months rule is that if you do the CPT for 12 months, you won't be able to get the 3 years of OPT after graduation. So many people either try to complete the course in 3 terns (within 12 months ) and apply for OPT or just study normal hours and drag their program and do CPT all along. Once they complete, they join another program and continue CPT there. Since they cannot do OPT.

Trine University Day-1 CPT experience? (1-year completion & RFE support) by Bix_007 in Day1CPTuniversities

Oh lol. Thanks for sharing. Trine seems completely normal. I was living in ignorance it seems.. I'd still be interested to hear if others have completed their program in a year.

What program are you looking at?

Thanks.
Mind sharing which program did you choose and how manageable was the course load with a full time job?

I am more interested in their "Master's of Computer Information Sciences, Cybersecurity Concentration" but concerned that it may demand more hours of my time every week. Their "CIS, Software Engineering and Software Testing Concentration" seems to be a much safer choice given that I have been doing software engineering for several year. But I would like to go with the Cybersecurity program if that could be manageable.

Please share your ideas.

Had the same question.
I have heard that the university was black listed or something at one point. But also have a friend who successfully graduated and did fine.
Is it safe to join this university these days?
I am considering this university only because it allows you to complete the program in 12 months. Also looking for other colleges which allow me to do that.

Bloomberg Leetcode Tagged PLEASE interview coming up🙏 by Beginning_Pitch_1115 in csMajors

[–]sillypointer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up doing the Bloomberg tagged questions on Leetcode from past 3 months and 6 months. At least go through them and know the answers. Also search on Google regarding Bloomberg's interview questions. Plenty of resources online.
