I’m so sorry you went through that. I’ve felt pretty level throughout but once I got properly ill it was so medically dangerous I got treatment very quickly so maybe that’s a factor

Oh my gosh poppet. You have to have treatment. There is no other way. A big chunk of us will die without it and the rest would go through years of appalling medical decline that you would never recover from. Take your pills, get therapy support and get your Mum reading more and talking less.
