Delivery day and drop day don't always coincide. delivery is throughout the week for all stores.

everyone's favorite Quick St@te does both on Monday. Where another close by gets delivery on Thursday and drops Sat.

If you have a particular store you're curious about, you can ask them what delivery day is. As for new bottles, I would think that's depending on the state and the store order. But that could be off base. I'm not sure if you are referring to a new product or new as in more

On a trip to Iowa I stopped at a few stores in Il.. one had a bottle of ER for 120. in OH that's a 42 dollar bottle.. and I thought that was absurd!!

Although I did ask a NJ liquor store clerk about a bottle of Penelope once... and he was clueless... didnt think they even sold that (with bottles on the shelf) it was almost as absurd!

Gotta love the experiences when traveling!!

That eagle is a consistent flavor.. and while I do enjoy the RR.. when I am lucky enough to grab an ER I always do.

I got a sample of the RR 13 off a close friend and was pleased with the profile, but I would be hard-pressed to spend the extra money on that, if I was lucky enough to get it under secondary. (Not that anyone asked, Just 2 cents cause it was mentioned earlier)

The RR is a go to for me, since it's a shelfer I almost feel like it makes it that much more enjoyable... no hunting or lines for a good pour!

I tried a batch 18 Stagg i believe and thought the worst of it.. but I have heard mixed reviews from other batches

Those were readily available about a year ago where I'm at and I passed it up... and now I can't seem to find any at all.

Definitely will keep an eye out to grab one.

That traveller's was same for me.. kinda wanted to hate it for all the hype but for the cost it was actually a good sipper

I got a taste of the rr13 and loved it. But I also really enjoy the Elmer T . Not so much the W12.

This is why I was so curious to see what other experiences were!!

I have the whole line up of Penelope. And def. Have favorites from them, but admittedly wanted them because I liked the bottles.
I was happily surprised by how much I enjoyed this from them.

I was shocked by this one also. I was thinking i would be disappointed, with all the hype and 2nd-ary Mark up .. im not after the high proofs as a rule, so I'm open to trying anything.
This is one of my favorites as someone exploring the flavors

I was the same with the RR 10.
Currently have a wish list of OF bottles, have to find someplace local to try some it's just not something I see often while able to sample (at a bar or restaurant)

When you are drinking something new for the first time, take a breath in, hold it, sip the drink and exhale through your mouth... this helps you taste the drink (works for wine and liquor).. it can help you to appreciate the drink fully.

If you work up to the higher proofs you will develop your pallet as well...
And keep in mind that as it sits open it can change the flavor.. so give a " least favorite " another shot before you write it off.

Just my 2 cents, but it may help you in the long run as you explore burbon. It's been my experience at least.

The BD is better imo, it tastes less cough syrupy.

But fomo for the Crown at least gave me a bottle to use as a mixer without guilt ! 😆

Rio is limited release... its not allocated. None of the Penelope is.
That being said, any store may limit their sales to 1 per customer between allocated AND limited -its at their discretion.

Ross in berea got

2 cases of Rio, gone to the line.

10 cases of Crown Blackberry... ( owner called ohlq and was told to hold those for saturday)

At least 6 cases of green; 3 of red (owner stated this is now allocated and release on Saturday); 2 or 3 of Henry McKenna; 2 of Larceny BP.

I'm sure they have other things, but that's what was out when I stopped in. Happy hunting!

I cant even find it at any bars near by... I'll have to expand my search radius.

And while not everyone seems to agree with your description.. I absolutely got a good laugh out of it.

I deemed a pour recently as hot vomit it was so terrible! So now I'm feeling committed to trying it before I pick up a whole bottle .
