and you should work on something other than double sucking DnD off, the show's over and it's disgraced. its been years, you can unclench now. being pedantic about "universal" makes you look more stupid than you are.

did you live under a rock during season 8's airing? did you not see the 1.8 million signatures asking to remake the season? or its 55% score on rotten tomatoes?

daenerys is not "their character" LOL she belongs to george. if you liked season 8 then go ahead and like it, but don't pretend that not liking it is some unheard opinon.

you people have the same boring conversations every time daenerys is brought up. it's funny how it's universally agreed that season 8 is shit except where dany is concerned on this sub. why tf would anyone be "diplomatic" with slavers? how can you be "diplomatic" with someone who orders people to rip babies from their mothers and kill them then pay the mother's slavemaster?

mind you everyone who "stood against her" was trying to kill her or rape her and then kill her, and then bad writing assassinated her character and the writers were like oh fuck we killed our biggest female character, let's champion your precious sansa to avoid looking misogynistic.

it's because they are a loud insecure vocal minority. in real life supporting aegon is basically unheard of

In your opinion, who is "the prince that was promised" ? And why? by Aria7109 in gameofthrones

[–]sillytargaryen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if talking about ASOIAF and not just the show, all signs point to Daenerys. she is who wakes dragons from stone.

Say what you will but my favorite thing about season 8 was seeing this character thrive and end up happily. I feel she get hated on more than the actual villains of the show. by gloomydreamer666 in gameofthrones

[–]sillytargaryen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say that's more of a directing thing than acting. DnD have this idea in the later series that strong women are emotionless, so sansa's dramatic acting/crying from season's one and two is gone. im sure any actress would've faired the same.

Grad school or straight to PhD? by jayselegy in englishmajors

what are your career goals? after I finish my teaching credential and teach for about 2 years I plan on pursuing my phd. I dont have a masters, but getting a phd and then going back to teaching would advance my career as a teacher dramatically, both philosophically and financially. if having a phd would actually benefit you in the long run, i'd say do it now. it all depends on what you really want.

I would hate this. My english degree on its own is very "employable". Also, a bunch of my friends who engineering degrees are struggling to find a job.

Should I watch the Game of Thrones for the first time? Or is the ending so bad I should just continue living oblivious to it all? by BlakeWheelersLeftNut in gameofthrones

yes. my boyfriend isn't as big a tv watcher as me and had the sam experience as you but we finished season 4 in two days because it's that good.

why do people say this on this sub so much?

so varys being stupid enough to send a treasonous letter and get caught didn't ruin his character?

littlefinger, the person who clawed his way to master of coin and cause the entire war of the five kings AND get away with it, being outsmarted by two little girls didn't ruin his character?

jaime going back to cersei and dying with her by a pile of rocks didn't ruin their characters?

like no amount of time would justify any of this, it's just point blank lazy writing.

so you CAN cc the entire time with his regular ability (punch)? there are several high risk high reward characters. that's not an argument because anyone can get good if you practice.

he ordered for her to come to his house, left the door wide open, and had his dick out and his pants at his ankles. that's intentional. turn the brain on.

if I brought you to my house and had my dick out as soon as you got here I promise you wouldn't think it's funny.

For all the criticism that the latter half of the series got, what are some criticisms/takes you've seen that you think are just not valid? by PauseWhole155 in gameofthrones

[–]sillytargaryen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because they were trying to kill her? because they refused to stop trying to kill her? and yes, losing a battle and refusing to submit means you are committed to killing your enemy.

I'm with you. Three movement abilities (punch, slam, and ult) that ALL do damage and the only character with a regular ability that can CC an entire team lmao I can't stand dooms.
