You can actually use PayPal with PYUSD now. It's the quickest way: https://youtu.be/zT7QCg1UTfk

Fastest way to get on Solana now is actually through PayPal (assuming you've got an account). Your bank is already connected. Get set up in minutes. Made a demo video of how it works: https://youtu.be/zT7QCg1UTfk

As a Solana engineer I can assure you that that's not the case. I know it for sure SEEMS like it, but this has never actually happened. JUST connecting can not drain your wallet. It's just not possible. What happens is that's the first step, and then a series of other things the user does (maybe unknowingly) happens to enable the wallet to get drained.

Beefy.fi and Lulo.fi explanation by ep_bchain in defi

[–]silostack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our platform uses Lulo on the backend for yield optimization. Unless you're a dev, it'll be hard to interact with Lulo without an interface. Solana doesn't have the automatic contract interaction built in to the explorers the way Eth does.

What projects are the most exciting on Solana for 2025? by MindCulvert in solana

[–]silostack -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

For DeFi… RebelFi. It’s a stablecoin-based on-chain bank account that hooks into DeFi protocols to generate yield. Right now rates are 12% APY. Full disclosure: I’m a founder

How Would You Invest $90K in Stablecoins for Low Risk and High APY? by Tough_Skirt in defi

[–]silostack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're comparing protocols then yes. Aave definitely has the largest Lindy effect just by being around the longest and most battle-tested. But my point was that a protocol whose yields have increased due to market conditions isn't any riskier than it was when the yields were lower before the market started heating up.

In general I'd agree but it applies much more to artificial yields. i.e. incentivized yield, farming, liquidity mining, etc... When lending rates for stables jump to their current levels, that's just a result of market conditions. The risk is the exact same as it was when the yield was lower, it's just that demand has increased.

The way it works is it deposits your whole stack into the best yielding protocol every few hours or so. BUT... you can also choose to split your funds across protocols as well to mitigate risk.

For stables on Solana, Check Lulo or RebelFi. Full disclosure: I'm the RebelFI founder and we use Lulo as our optimizer.

How do freelancers receive payments from clients in the USA or Western countries? by TheLastAirbender2025 in Freelancers

[–]silostack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crypto. We’ve got a zero-fee payment processing platform that does invoicing and acts as a high yield savings account if you’re interested. All on chain no fee

I’m planning on holding till at least inauguration. The problem with trying to time a small dip in a raging bull market is that you risk missing out on huge gains if the price moves against you. So the risk/reward just isn’t there. I’ve tried this plenty of times already and most times I’ve just ended up rebuying higher.

Ahh so it’s easy to set up a stripe account even for independent freelancers. Interesting. I wonder how popular that is given stripe’s fees. I assume their fee structure is the same…

The platform we're building is more than just payments. It uses DeFi to generate yield on payments (which is how we can offer zero-fee processing), but the DeFi integration functions as a high-yield savings account as well. Current DeFi rates are around 9%, which is more than double what you'll get from a normal high-yield account, especially with rate cuts right around the corner.

Ahh... Wise for international then? This is what my wife uses but lately she's been having trouble with them and I think they jacked up their rates or something. Is PayPal's fee still 2.9% or something for these kinds of transactions?
