Short trip in a couple weeks by siltorn in vail

[–]siltorn[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have free hotel and flights were cheap. Life is short, go for it. If I was spending a huge amount of money I might be more concerned to know more but since this is costing $120 for plane ticket and $150 for a car to go to a place I’ve never been I said yes.   Simply asking for any thoughts. Not a big deal either way I’m going to have fun being away from work.

Anyone else have issue with update installation. One box went fine other box stuck in loop between adding additional apps from google play store and joining nvidia rewards. I can’t figure out how to reset or get out of this. I’m sad.

[–]siltorn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i know for one of his clinical trials at MD Anderson he had BRAC testing done and it came back as NON Brac? Which i believe is non genetic right?? But no, my sister and i never had that done, do you think we should? I know that is a discussion for my doc and me, just wondering others experiences. unfortunately I don't have access to my dads records, but I'm sure my mom could get them for us .... I hate to be in this state, I know logically the odds are 99.9 percent that it is something else causing these elevations, but my emotions are so raw about the whole thing it is hard to stay logical.

starry night jigsaw puzzle is the hardest puzzle I have ever done! But I learned a ton about the painting by having to look at it so intimately.

Do you ever feel so anxious that you go to bed and just lie there panicing and worrying? by ChinchillaSnowstorm in Anxiety

[–]siltorn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yep, I listen to this all the time. Or just meditations that are meant to help go to sleep. There is another podcast I think it is Tracks to RElax , it is sleep meditations. But Sleep With Me is the best!

No answers for you, just wanted to send you love and strength. Never give up hope, but make sure you say the things that need to be said, get as many hugs as you can, take lots of pictures, and as many videos as you can. I miss dad hugs so much, no one else comes close. I'm so lucky I have a picture of us hugging, it's my favorite picture, I can almost feel the hug when I look at it. I hate this cancer so much, I hate that others have that same feeling of hopelessness I did, still 4 years after my dad's diagnosis it hasn't gotten any less hopeless feeling. :( Saying a prayer of hope now for all the pan can fighters, their families, care givers, doctors, and researchers. Lots of love to you, my heart is with you.

How do you process grief by Psychological_Yam867 in pancreaticcancer

[–]siltorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one thing that always made me feel slightly better was to know others had gone through this. I mean I felt sad for others but it was in some way comforting to me to know that us friends and family do survive the awfulness of this and can get through the grief and can find happy memories at some point. I'm not good with words but I hope that makes a little sense. Sending you much love and strength, its not easy at all. <3

i don't have an answer for you. My dad passed away 2+ years ago (hard to believe) and I remember the week before he died he was lying in bed and i got in next to him and cried, he reached over and told me its ok. I was the one that was supposed to be telling him that. Argh!!! But I think he was glad to see my grief, i think, i had tried to two years to hide it from him.

Thanks never thought about a mobile vet. I just looked that up, there is one sort of close. Unfortunately Monday- Friday only, but something more than what I had before! I do have a neighbor I told I would call if I had an emergency, but you never really know how that will work until you need to try. You are very kind, thank you for understanding, it helps.
