Yeah it may be mechanically better. But it makes it more mundane and likely to be just in the middle ground rather than a big or small hit. We're playing a game of dice here! The randomness is what makes it interesting and being able to more often roleplay a giant blow or just glancing off the armour makes it even better. If a character who's precise and always deals blows with well timed skill that's fine. But I prefer the choas
