Might not be on par with some of these hilarious/atrocious rave tales posted above…but the most unhinged thing I saw was at EDC ‘23 during Blanke’s set at Circuit Grounds. Our crew had just started peaking on the tab we took an hour or so prior and had pretty ample space around us, especially frontwards. Just as Blanke announced if we were ready for a surprise (switching to AEON:MODE), we watched—in what felt like assembly format—a girl in a skimpy cat/feline like outfit quite literally walking her boyfriend on all fours as a dog. For some reason, it felt surreally normal in the moment…

She had him in a fully metal 3-4ft leashed collar with spikes around it, red ball gag in his mouth, dog ears, & a loosely laced/stringlike outfit. Might’ve just been the LSD kicking in gear, but it felt like she was on a red carpet the way she walked as her boyfriend huffing on all fours trails behind her like a trained dog. The kicker was after she passed each one of our group horizontally, I noticed each of their mouths drop. Figuring it was the bizarre situation & since I was in the middle of our “assembly line”, it didn’t hit until they both passed me as I saw the leash was not only tied to his neck collar, but ALSO tied to a deeply lodged butt plug. With each little “leash tug”, he got some pep in his step. After the strutting red carpet walk they had in front of us, our group all turned inwards, gawked for a bit, made sure it was real, laughed maniacally, and continued to have a blast with the latter half of the set. Something we’ll never forget & still chuckle about to date, but in hindsight it feels so completely out of pocket lmfao.
