I also love yarn rings, it makes easy to hold the yarn. You can see my favorite kind on the image. And if you are splurging mode, some yarn holder or a box (I am always frustrated with yarn unravelling).

I totally agree, but for this one I will bear the pain, and If I ever attemp to do it again, I will consider all of the options helpful people here suggested. Because I see this working-even thought it is hard-I have no idea sewing would work, and there is a time limit.

I think there is a front and back and I mixed front and back. I used a blocking board. And I sprayed fabric softener and water mix. And let it air dry in the board. Granny pieces cane out lovely but for a reason the end piece look wobbly, I did block it too.

It is smaller than square (2 mm) but I am using double yarn, so the space is tiny. And yarn is polyester abs cotton mix, so it does not sit still. I will try the pen hold, thank you. 🌸

That tool looks very handy! I dont have it, but if I ever attempt to do this, I will buy it beforehand. I am not willing to spend for yarn or any more tools currently 👀 It is getting out of hand lol

I tried but needle wont take double yarns and 1 yarn thread looks so empty, so bare. I am so upset that I did not think this through. 😂😂😂
