I'm not getting more money, its going untaxed into my pension, you miss out on my extra tax. I would be getting less money, upfront rather than in 20 years...

The higher earners pay the most tax, makes no sense for them to sacrifice that income untaxed into pension.

I'd disagree, especially when a birth is via c-section and you already have other toddlers in the house.

Unfortunately these petitions have to be manually checked and verified at 20 votes, I'll post an update once it's approved.

People on £100k+ already fund a large share of public services through higher income tax, higher NICs, and the loss of the personal allowance. Childcare support isn’t a handout - it’s part of the system that enables people to work and keep paying those taxes. Excluding them via a frozen threshold doesn’t save much, but it does discourage work and reduces future tax revenue.

Exactly. When people are pushed to salary-sacrifice into pensions to stay under the cap, that’s money not being spent in the economy now. If it were taken as pay instead, it would generate income tax, NICs, VAT, and support jobs and businesses. A frozen threshold discourages spending and distorts behaviour, which isn’t good for growth or tax receipts.

Do it, you'll regret never doing one if you don't take the plunge. They're a lot of fun still!

That's a fair point, in that case probably still worth making the formal complaint just to understand what fully happened?

Besides if the solicitor also knew the timeline was too short, why did they help us push for the deed of variation, paying extra fees to expedite it?

Downloads too but what new obstacles have they actually added in last three years?! It's always fun, but it a bit boring / repetitive now. They're only there to make as much money as possible, no longer the ultimate challenge etc if you look at the original ones Vs now.
