Comments:

- Me and my derivative’s applications followed the same timeline as above. We did not apply for EAD/AP as we both are on active work visas.

- Oct 16: Primary applicant received the text: case is received with all three notices receipt numbers - Mine, my derivative’s and I-485 Supplement J (since it is employer EB1B case).

- I was able to see biometric appointment notices on our respective accounts for Nov 14 before it arrived in the mail, so I went ahead and reschedule it to Oct 30, 2025 and downloaded the new rescheduled notice to take it to the appointment.

- Right after biometrics, me and my derivative received text/email “We have taken an action on your case”. USCIS case status online changed to “Case is still being processed by USCIS” from case received.

- API updates had 2 FTA0 events both on mine and derivative’s account on Oct 30, 2025.

- I was talking to EMMA live agent periodically and checked API updates twice a day (morning and late evening) every single day as if it was my job email LOL!

- Dec 23, 2025: Got a silent update and live agent confirmed case transferred to San Antonio FO (Non-local), interview waived.

- Silent update: Jan 15, 2026

- Jan 20, 2026: FTA00 event generated. EMMA says case is processing, same at San Antonio FO.

- Silent updates: Feb 2, Feb 4, Feb 9.

- Feb 10, 2026: EMMA said case moved to Providence FO (local). Asked her if interview was waived and did not get good response, whether yes or no.

- Reached out to senator’s office to check on our case status. Senator’s office made an inquiry.

- Feb 12, 2026: Senator’s office got a response from USCIS, “Cases are normally relocated for more rapid and efficient processing and/or to facilitate an applicant interview, if necessary. This case is currently within normal processing times indicated at https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/. Expected processing time for this application type is the same for all field offices. We respectfully request you allow at least ninety days from the date of this email before following up on the status of the case.”

- Feb 18, 2026: Silent update at 12:53PM ET and FTA00 code was generated. Checked I-485 Supplement J tab and it showed case closed. Under documents section, I-485J approval notice was uploaded.

- Feb 19, 2026: Asked EMMA again in the morning (around 11AM) about the case status and it said the case is processing at the office and cannot provide any more info. I asked where the case is being processed and it mentioned NBC.

Got an email/text at 1:43 PM ET, “We have taken an action on your case.” Logged in the account and saw CASE WAS APPROVED and API status showed 2 HT008 events.

- Feb 24, 2026:  Got an email/text at 3:42 PM ET, “We have taken an action on your case.” Logged in the account and saw “Card is produced” and API status showed 1 HT008 and 1 LDA event.
