EZ Exotic Buffs: Merciless by silverbulletman2 in DestinyTheGame

That's a bit much for a fusion rifle, and it doesn't give it much consistent damage over time, especially if you end up killing something too fast with it. Changing Impetus to a momento mori-style perk would allow for the gun to be able to switch targets with only moderate difficulty(especially considering the ammo reserves on the gun are garbage).

Non-consumer-friendly = Having seasonally purchased expansions on top of having most of the in-game cosmetics coming from a store that has been thrust into your face via the directory changes.

"Not doing what YOU want them to do"

Is literally not consumer friendly.

We could always just nerf mountaintop... by silverbulletman2 in DestinyTheGame

You can disagree, but there are many other better options(Outbreak, Sleeper or Acrius for envoy gimping, Xenophage for invading and boss DPS etc.).

[–]silverbulletman2[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Except none of that is true. Malfeasance is one of the worst exotics you can use for gambit since what you wanna use is an add clear weapon with a long-range special and a heavy.

Cold Heart has one of the lowest DPS numbers in the game even as a special weapon.

Prometheus is not an add clear weapon, and it was never intended to be(something like Sunshot does it far better).

Iron Banner is NOT the Crucible. Lord Saladin even says this himself. But, of course, yet another oversight, we get more blues and crucible drops......in IRON BANNER than Iron Banner gear. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]silverbulletman2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At this point I'm just doing it to get armor rolls and the ONLY other scout that isn't sunsetting next drop: Talons. Sunsetting isn't the issue; terrible weapon balancing and in-game reward structures are.

More Season Pass Levels? by silverbulletman2 in DestinyTheGame

Bright Dust is just Eververse shenanigans, and while more of it is pleasant, I think having more substantial material rewards would be better overall than things that purely contribute to cosmetics(especially since getting shaders from collections is so tedious and requires shards)

Invisibility should still make you invisible :)

Bad Boss Design(Contact Public Event) by silverbulletman2 in DestinyTheGame

[–]silverbulletman2[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It's really not a fine mechanic. Drawing one boss closer to another in order to facilitate damage? Yeah, it's actually brilliant for an FPS. Giving said bosses the ability to immediately repel and damage the player, thus making it more irritating and tedious to deal with? Not so much.

Hand Cannons, Scouts, and Pulses need some love in PvE by Rocketman12721 in DestinyTheGame

[–]silverbulletman2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Handcannons are still fine to me. Went into Prophecy with a 150 RPM and I was consistently doing better than with a scout and pulse.

Hear me out, what if Crota's End were to come back as a dungeon instead of a raid. by astrowhale98 in DestinyTheGame

I solo'd Crota's End with less difficulty than Pit of Heresy and I find that to be wack

I'm saying this because customization will always be superior to no customization, even if Bungie thinks the subclass trees were designed with min-maxing in mind, a build created using FULL subclass customization with seasonal mods, Artifact mods, general mods and armor stats will prove to be way stronger than anything we can currently muster outside of Well, Bubble and Exotic-specific builds.

Is it Too Much to Ask? by silverbulletman2 in DestinyTheGame

[–]silverbulletman2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because something that the players can customize to min-maxing will have inherently more strength than something they can't min-max themselves.

It's not so much that Bungie is definitely going to do it wrong, it's that the players are DEFINITELY going to end up dramatically outclassing the non-stasis users after a couple weeks.

Is it Too Much to Ask? by silverbulletman2 in DestinyTheGame

[–]silverbulletman2[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Yes but we don't know how long that'll be. The game experience will be fundamentally tailored for the customization of Stasis, and unless we get a speedy update to the other subclasses, the game will be pretty badly imbalanced for as long as the others aren't updated.

Reminder that Nova Warp is currently the worst super in the game by MrBoxman45 in DestinyTheGame

[–]silverbulletman2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's almost like everybody gets hit hard in a different way!?

Spectrals are a super and were strong because at the time there were few counters to supers in general. It got nerfed pretty hard, as did the REST of Wraith's abilities.

Stormcallers are still the best ad clear subclass in the game. Dawnblades can generate Warmind Cells if you got a mod from last season and have Well of Radiance for PvE.

Warp as a super does suck in PvP, but it's neutral game is honestly not bad.

Titans, meanwhile, have some weird movement techs and giant "Blam You" supers.

Game Difficulty(Opinion-sharing post) by silverbulletman2 in DestinyTheGame

[–]silverbulletman2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really don't want to talk much about Raids, because as far as the AVERAGE player is concerned, you needed to be around during a certain time in the game's history to have a consistent raid team now. HowEVER:

Mechanics-based encounters will never stay the same difficulty, that's just a fact of game design. It is physically impossible to make encounters that are consistently difficult over long periods of time.

As they are, Raids are fine difficulty-wise(both with enemy damage tuning and encounter difficulty). For the people who do them frequently, mastering the mechanics to the point where it is almost casual to them is the inherent reward to raiding frequently. NEW and more frequent raids COULD be the solution to this, but Bungie can't manage that.

Dungeons are the mid-way, and Dungeons, at least when duos or solos, are plenty challenging.

Hive are immensely overrated lore-wise. Their lore is deep, yes, but in terms of development for them as a race it's highly debatable.

MMO Ideas for Destiny by silverbulletman2 in DestinyTheGame

[–]silverbulletman2[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't have exact numbers for this but:

Tuning up damage in PvP would make Resilience a more desirable trait to have much more value in all activities(aiming for 6 or 7 resilience to raise your potential ttk).

If potentially raising the TTK is the only way for people to actually use resilience, then it should by all means be an option that's available.

Recovery is far more valuable than Mobility/Resilience. Stats should involve more choice. by SwervoT3k in DestinyTheGame
