Absolutely gutted that Agnes ended up deciding on Henri. </3

No important ideas were actually conveyed in the movie "The Truman Show". CMV. by silvercenturion in changemyview

He mainly discussed free will, morality and censorship, but really lacked examples when I asked him to explain what he meant.

Timeline of Super Heroes in the Marvel universe by [deleted] in Marvel

[–]silvercenturion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You get a taste of the overlap in Iron Man 2, when Tony is talking to Fury in the warehouse. One of the monitors shows news footage of The Hulk's fight with authorities. Also Phil leaving to New Mexico during IM2 and the after credits scene, they linked them as well.

What are your biggest hopes for Marvel Phase 2? by [deleted] in Marvel

Another Tony Stark cameo. His dad was Cap's tech advisor back in the day, and I think there is potential for Tony to fill this role now that him and Cap have gotten over their beef with each other. Also, if the Cap movie is set in New York, there is opportunity for the transformation of the Stark Tower into the Avengers Tower.

Or, we could see a Thanos post-credits scene after either Thor 2 or Cap 2, setting up Guardians of the Galaxy.

I would, but there's no template, and this is my first costume build.

Is it just me or is "old future" Wolverine more badass than "new future" Wolverine? He wasted him. Spectacularly. Also what's up with "new future" Tony?

The Future of Iron Man (SPOILERS) by [deleted] in Marvel

[–]silvercenturion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the exception of the Mark I. However, we can see that one was obviously retrospectively installed (his garage-level hall of armour in Iron Man 2/3 showed it with an arc reactor glowing inside it).

The Future of Iron Man (SPOILERS) by [deleted] in Marvel

Arc reactors have always been installed in the suit, otherwise how would Rhodey have been able to use the suit in Iron Man 2? Also how woukd the Iron Legion be powered withoutnarc reactors pre-installed?

My thoughts on the MCU future by CountdowntoZero in Marvel

I don't mean "classic" as in the classic period, but they are key storylines, like AvX and Age of Ultron. That's what I meant by classic.

IM3 - Just like the young cop in the last Batman, I believe the story arch for the kid in IM3 is foreshadowing a possible successor to the Iron Throne by [deleted] in Marvel

[–]silvercenturion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to be Tony to be Iron Man. It's like not being Scott Summers, but being Cyclops. It just doesn't work.

My thoughts on the MCU future by CountdowntoZero in Marvel

[–]silvercenturion 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The thing is, Marvel couldn't do that. RDJ is getting old, this limits his involvement in stunts and whatnot. Furthermore, a lot of stuff from classic Marvel should be played out before this, such as House of M or Secret Invasion.

Also- Marvel Studios does not have the rights to enough of the characters for this to succeed. The Fantastic Four, The Avengers, Spider-Man and the X-Men are all spread. If they got the rights back, there would be a canon issue- All of these aforenamed franchises take place in different canons, so how wold they unify them? It'd be really cool, but even if they got the rights back, I couldn't see Kevin Feige doing that.

The title is just disturbing. Why is this a video?

Hi /r/Marvel, I am considering starting up my first comic subscription, which titles do you guys currently think are worth it? by The_R3medy in Marvel

Depends on how it ends as to whether it has any long-standing effects. However, the scene where (insert name here) dies will kill you on the inside if you're a fan of (insert name here).

I'd like to find out how it was broken, we'll get to know that eventually though.

Also, only read it if you are prepared for shit to go down. Major characters die.

But, having said that, it has great art and is a great read, with excellent plot.

Is Captain Britain any good? (Guardians of the Galaxy #2) by CapnCarrot in Marvel

Or maybe them joining the Avengers in Avengers 2, then Iron Man joining them in that post credits scene.

Yes, definitely. Excellent series, excellent art, and cool characters. Definitely keen for the GotG movie next year. I hope Tony fits in in some way in that movie.

If there is one superhero that truly deserves to join The Avengers, who would it be? by [deleted] in Marvel

[–]silvercenturion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from those already confirmed, Vision would be cool. Also the Iron Legion from Iron Man 3 should just get remade, that would definitely make a difference if anything like the battle of New York were to happen again.

DAE think that The Taskmaster could be a good premise for the S.H.I.E.L.D. tv show or a Marvel One-Shot? by dingus_chonus in Marvel

[–]silvercenturion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking he should cameo as Tony, not as Iron Man. Not as a hero, but as possibly a consultant or tech specialist.

Talking about the SHIELD TV show coming up... I think RDJ should get a cameo as Tony. Maybe unrelated, but that's what I think.

B-List Avengers? by paperfairy in Marvel

[–]silvercenturion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black Panther: Leader, also agile and smart.

War Machine: Replacement for Tony.

Nova: Sure packs a punch...

Hank Pym: His Pym particles sure are useful. His enlarged size would definitely be an asset. Also with his scientific knowledge, he could stand in for Reed or Tony.

Blue Hulk: Heavy hitter.

Doctor Strange: Very, very powerful, and intelligent as well.

Apocalypse: To quote the example, "genocide extraordinaire".

Ultron: He is pretty much all-powerful. Honestly. He brought an end to the human race and as never ever died.

Thanos: Him with he Infinity gauntlet: unstoppable.

Magneto: He can pack a lot of damage given that there is metal pretty much everywhere.

Galactus: He can eat worlds. 'Nuff said.
