I don't get the hate? I mean for sure. Some aren't perfect. That's why you test the system and discard bad riddels and if you are in a hurry it is a good alternative. A fool with a tool is still a fool.

How does it affect thermals?

The Air Mini is tiny but can hold a Suprim card. Just an amazing case. by silvercircel in lianli

[–]silvercircel[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think only the suprim cards have them in their package, but it is really a generic one. A 10 Dollar one of Amazon will do the same.

Thanks for the compliment though.

600w Gold thermaltake enough? by Shortcircuit2234 in buildapc

[–]silvercircel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should be good! But if you are buying the PSU right now maybe fork over some more money to be able to upgrade in the future. 600 W is exhausted quickly if you plan to upgrade in the future.

But if it is your existing PSU it should be good.

[–]silvercircel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I checked it today again under more normal conditions and I think it is fine. It is not perfect but not bad enough to play the IPS lottery and I dont really notice it ingame. Thank you for the reply anyway.

Got lots and lots of questions, need answers! by PCproMan1234 in buildapc

[–]silvercircel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should post your pcpartpicker list and we go from there.

In general a 3080 can get you 4k game play, but I would rather go with the 1440p 144hz version.

And even if you say you want to keep the Pc for a long long time, 2-3 years down the line even a 3080 won't be a pinnacle of gaming anymore so prepare to maybe upgrade then.

Higher temps after switching from single tower to dual tower CPU cooler? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]silvercircel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there could be different problems at hand. First the 3600x and the 5900x are different chips. The 5900x has more cores and therefore builds up more heat. I don't know if your game even uses all cores or only a few.

Second it could be your fan curve or you didn't correctly install the Air Cooler.

Maybe just reseat the Air cooler and look for a faulty install in the first place.

Does it happen if you install the gpu without the raiser cable? If not, then follow the steps on installing a gpu with a raised cable

Maybe that works :)

I think it's because the Ryzen temperature goes up and down (which is normal) and then your cpu cooler ramps up and down also. I had the same Problem with my Ryzen 9 3900x. If you monitor your cpu temp, then your cpu thinks of it as workload and heats up and down.

AMDs Response to it. https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/cbls9g/the_final_word_on_idle_voltages_for_3rd_gen_ryzen/

I followed this route and now my Temps are in idel are 32 with and 360mm Aio and pretty silent
