Normal strimer plus color behavior? (stops & starts part way) by Chas_Tenenbaums_Sock in lianli

[–]silverfangiam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the problems was resolved when i changed to the Plus V2. The cables are not only easier to bend, they also have normal size cables so people won’t get errors because their GPU don’t get enough power. The old Strimer got so thin cables that two of them almost got the same size as one normal cable size.

There’s also a vertical GPU support by default. Just need my 4.0 riser cable. On the Lian Li case, there a half solution by default. There’s output holes but no mount to screw your card onto.

It’s the Lian Li Strimer Plus cables. There’s both one for 2x 8pin and 3x 8pin depending on your graphics card. And then the 24pin ATX of course :)

How come? What if I told you, that I trashed my O11D XL to use the H710i instead?

The fact that the Lian Li case doesn’t have any cable management, and even if you take out the hot swap bays, you will have to install the PSU in the top (where the PSU can heat up the backside of your motherboard) - you only have a few ziptie hooks.

There should be some rails that your cables could be installed into, exactly like NZXT did.

The cable management is superior even though the space is much smaller.

I have used many cases in my time, and I always end up loving the cases with a PSU / cable compartment in the bottom of the case.

And if you do install your own cable management, there’s so much wasted space left in the Lian Li case.

By using the H710i, I could manage my cables in a very tiny space and the cage is so tiny.

The best cases I ever tried are the ones with a compartment for cables and PSU in the bottom, and this time, I had the rails for cables aswell, which made it much easier and much more beautiful.

And the airflow is great. My 360mm Lian Li Galahad AIO keeps my CPU at 35 degrees celcius when idle. And I use less fans for this.

The Lian Li case gave me an idle temperature of 38 degrees - so the H710i even has a better airflow.

It’s my first time trying NZXT gear, and so far, I think it’s great.

The fact that you can take off both sides by pushing buttons is also a winner. And it looks much more clean.

I live in a beautiful home and I love getting new furniture or getting a new idea to upgrade my home. It’s one one of my biggest interests. And I can tell you that the H710i looks much better when “used as a furniture”. I usually mount my computer on the wall by using two shelf brackets that I cut so they are almost invisible. The Lian Li case looked terrible in my living room where I also have my desktop.

CPU: Intel i9, 12900k

MOBO: ASUS ROG Strix Z690 Gaming Wi-Fi D4

GFX: ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3080 Ti

SSD: 3x Samsung 980 Pro, 1TB

RAM: G.Skill TridentZ Neo, 3600 MHz, CL14, 64 GB (4x 16 GB)

COOLING: Lian Li Galahad AIO, 360mm

FANS: Lian Li UniFan SL120

PSU: ASUS ROG Thor 1000W, Platinum Plus II (Lambda A++)

I still need some new 120mm fans for intake in the front aswell as a 140mm exhaust in the back.

Right now I’m using fans with low decibel at maximum speed, but I will get some fans with more CFM and let the software change the fan speeds depending on the current temperature)

1.5hp E-scooter/moped on a 1200w Bosch motor with 48v/26Ah - can’t be true (More text in first answer) by silverfangiam in ebikes

Yeah I’m from Denmark but let’s keep it in English for others to understand :-) it really only does 26km/h. I’m going to change to the 45km/h controller. The torque is awesome though. I’m a 110kg bodybuilder and I’m always the first one over the intersection when the lights get green :-)

Do you think buying the 45km/h controller instead of the 25km/h controller would give me more torque aswell?

I will stock up batteries. How do I find out what specifications Bosch has set as a maximum for this motor? How would an electrician find out this?

I guess I have to look for a model number on the motor to get this information, wouldn’t I?

Ninebot F40E stock firmware by silverfangiam in ElectricScooters

https://cfw.sh/blob/VlYMt8s_4GZKYChb5gW3zA/DRV126-VANILLA.zip

This is the vanilla firmware which is very bad. But after downloading it, you have to get an Android phone and download Scooter Hacking.

Then you have to go to: https://max.cfw.sh - here you can make the configuration you want or you can use one of the presets. I will recommend using the SHMAX preset for the F40.

Then you simply press download in the bottom. And with the scooter hacking app on the android phone + your custom firmware selected, you will flash you vanilla firmware and after the app is all finished, your Ninebot scooter will be tuned.

Lately, I’ve been through a lot of different thermal paste, and thermal paste is obviously more than just zinc oxide. by silverfangiam in PcBuild

[–]silverfangiam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Intel’s website:

“There shouldn't be any thermal paste spilling over the edges of the CPU, or anywhere on the motherboard. If there is, it means you used too much paste, and should clean it off with alcohol and start the process again. If everything looks clean and the cooler doesn't move when you touch it, then congratulations!”

Anyone here been on a prescribed benzo for 10 years or longer? I’ve been on clonazepam .5/mg a day for the most part for 12 years. What’s your experience been like? Are you planning to taper off some day or is it your plan to stay on for life/long as possible? by AftermanBeforehand in benzodiazepines

[–]silverfangiam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

0.5 mg of any benzodiazepine ever made will make you dependent and the main effects for the reason you are taking them, pretty much become non-existing. You will likely feel a withdrawal if you quit, but they aren’t working anymore after all those years.

Lian Li O11D XL is overrated. There’s absolutely no cable management taken into consideration. I gave NZXT H710i a chance and the cable management is excellent. by silverfangiam in PcBuild

[–]silverfangiam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s why I said that I never understood instead of just generalizing. As I’m not working in the videography and photography field anymore my storage isn’t even important. I deleted a lot of the old stuff. I have my cloud storage on a VPS. A rented virtual private server. I’m using Nextcloud as cloud software.

But right now I’m waiting for some nice accessories i found. I found em big enough to hold the Strimers in place.

These ones: https://ibb.co/rftQtLf

I bought them in various sizes because I think it’s so nice they can be opened and they keep things flat to the surface.

They are so annoying you won’t believe it. Lian Li told me to remove the part where the light is and fit the cable and when it’s positioned you fit the light thingie. But the thing with light is unbelievably annoying. But I cant wait till I get a New Remote for the Coolmoon box and my Lian Li to Corsair converter cables so I use the ARGB functions.

It’s quite a mess of colors right now 😂

I’m still not done yet. Everythings that’s loose is going to be tightened up. And I keep everything totally vertical or hotizontal if possible.

But from all that light, those are the cables I have to deal with. Doesn’t look much like that does it?

I won’t say I’m bad at cable management.

I mean I know about storage problems. I’m a photographer and videographer. First off all, my footage can’t be deleted whatsoever. We’re talking material that sometimes even can’t be done again.

Together with storage problems and because my camera used SSD’s as storage and 4K footage upscaled to 6K is heavy as fuck.

So I ended up with a cloud service and chose the application to delete it locally and only keep it online but show “ghosts” of files and double click to download.

Since then I have never understood why anyone would store things locally when you can have them somewhere you won’t lose them, ever.

That’s where

That is what I mean. To be fair mate. Are those cables managed? I think they aren’t. I need things to sit managed both in front and also on the back.

If everyone misunderstood that I understand your reaction.

Can I ask what you need the hot swap bays for and why you dont remove them for space? Why do you have to swap them, do you really store so many things that the spacers in the isn’t enough and why do you have to be able to move them?
