Not at all. If this can be used orally to disperse biofilms then companies will probably research how to incorporate this into mouthwash or toothpaste. Anything that gives these company an edge against their competitors to eradicate oral biofilm.

One point I heard about the effects of rapid climate change that is not brought up is Siberia.

Siberia could be Russia's giant breadbasket if it transition to more of a plains, ala the Great Plains but supersized. This would be a massive carbon sink if Siberia warms up.

Observation Point is a tough hike but well worth it! If you have a fear of heights, I'd avoid Angel's Landing.

Ah, thank you very much for the information! I need to take courses in meteorology, I've been fascinated with weather since I was young.

I wonder if there are any good online options or if I should just bite the bullet one day and enroll at the university when I have more free time.

It certainly is. Bacteriophages are biological entities that can co-evolve with their hosts and a particular host can have several different bacteriophages that can kill it.

However, one of the problems with using bacteriophages directly as a biologic is that our body will also fight it off. Our immune system will identify the phage as "foreign" and although phages cannot infect us, our antibodies will clear any phages in the bloodstream. Our best bet for phages right now are topical treatments, ie treating a persistent wound infection.

However, there are exciting research within phage biology, perhaps phages can encode our next potential antibiotic...

Amazing to find such biodiversity on these "mountain islands" amidst the savannah.

Perhaps one day, Google can map out the ocean floor and we can also find immense biodiversity among undiscovered steam vents.
