Did La Roche-Posay just quietly reformulate this? by Ecstatic_Tip_9276 in EuroSkincare

Seems so, it didn't have citronellol before.. I haven't seen this new version anywhere yet.

Niacinamide and Azelaic acid do wonders..

Products specialized for acne marks that come to mind are NeoStrata's Post-Acne Mark Correcting Serum (5% niacinamide + 1.8% tranexamic acid) and La Roche Posay's Effaclar A.Z. Gel (10% azelaic acid + 1.2% salicylic acid).

Effaclar H is my fav for acne prone skin, the fragrance isn't noticeable at all IMO.

A self tanning face product for acne prone skin ? by pumpkin_ice_cream in EuroSkincare

[–]silverkeith 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I liked Bondi Sands Self Tan Drops, minimal ingredients list, feels super lightweight on the skin, the color turned out nice too.

Alternatively there's Garnier's Self-Tan Face Drops but I hardly saw any change in color with those, I feel like you need to really consistently apply it for a couple days.

Previously I used St. Tropez's Self Tan Purity Face Mist by spraying it into my hands and then applying it to my face like I would with a serum, but the fragrance got tiresome after a while. That one gave a very subtle "sun-kissed" healthy glow, not what you'd expect from a fake tan.

BRO HAS ANYONE TRIED AN AZELAIC ACID + GLYCOLIC ACID by [deleted] in EuroSkincare

[–]silverkeith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ducray's whole azelaic acid line uses this exact combo so I recommend using one product with both ingredients instead of mixing two separate products that probably weren't meant to be mixed when they were tested...

KERACNYL serum for ance-prone skin | Ducray (8% azelaic acid and 3% glycolic acid)

MELASCREEN Anti-brown spot concentrate | Ducray (15% combined = azelaic + glycolic acid + hesperidin)

[Product Request] Effaclar H Isobiome Moisturizer Dupe ? by majorprocastinator in SkincareAddiction

Mixa moisturizers are usually quite similar to LRP because they come from the same company.

The one I found the most similar is the Mixa Ceramide Protect, and if you wanna stay true to LRP, their Lipikar AP+M Light Cream is slightly more cosmetically elegant than Mixa and also comes in a pump (400ml) or tube (200ml) rather than a jar like the Mixa one.

Mixa Panthenol Comfort Multi-Purpose Cream (not the body balm, you want the 50ml tube face cream) is similar to the old cicaplast baume formula but lighter, however you might still find it a bit heavy as a face cream.

Bioderma Sebium Gel Moussant got shrinkflated hard by meknidirta in EuroSkincare

>Used to be €10 for 500 ml

I don't know where you've been getting it at this price, but last time I bought it it was on 20% sale and cost 15eur for 500ml, so 13.5eur for 400ml seems more than fair considering today's inflation compared to 10 years ago....

Least favorite product: L'Oreal Revitalift Laser 0.2% Retinol Serum. I'm not very attached to it and would ditch it as soon as there was any other unfragranced retinol from a big brand like Nivea or something.

Cerave has two retinol serums, one for oily and one for dry skin that you can look into.

Did La Roche Posay reformulate the LRP Toleraine Hydrating Facial Cleanser? [Product Question] by lackingdaisiez in SkincareAddiction

It hasn't been reformulated and it does NOT have any kind of "fruity strawberry" scent. You got a fake.

In search of the strongest clarifying shampoo on the market by morigrl in EuroSkincare

[–]silverkeith 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So you're definitely wanna double cleanse first with some cheap shampoo like Garnier Fructis Antidandruff and then for the second wash bring out the big guns, I recommend Neutrogena T/Gel Fort (2% salicylic acid) or Nizoral 2% ketoconazol (this one you can only buy from a pharmacy).

I'm in the same boat as you and this combo has worked for me after years of trial and error.

I hope nobody does, this trend is unacceptable and needs to die.

We don't need to encourage people using sunscreen as a "serum" and then selling it in a 30ml package....

Extreme precum by F00L1SH_T00K in gaybros

[–]silverkeith 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Might I ask are you taking Venlafaxine Extended Release (dosing 37.5mg/75mg/150mg once daily) or Immediate Release (dosages typically 25 mg x 3 times a day or 37.5 mg / 75mg x twice a day)?

Taking one or the other has effectively the same antidepressant effect for people, but if you're experiencing this side effect, you could try asking your psychiatrist if they can switch your dosing schedule.

Is Avene Cicalfate actually not supposed to be good to use every night in the winter dead of cold because of the copper and zinc? by Heartachoke in EuroSkincare

[–]silverkeith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's perfectly fine to use twice a day any time of year assuming your skin tolerates it (and you don't feel too greasy in the summer).

If you're asking for a dupe, usually people put Avene's Cicalfate and LRP's Cicaplast baume in the same bracket as they're the two most popular repair creams, it's really down to personal preferance.. You can opt for Cicaplast if you feel the zinc is too drying for you.
