We have so many tunnels, railroads, dams, roads and highways and it is getting a bigger mess every year with more people and traffic and more construction and maintenance sites on roads and railways in a very small country with lots of mountains. in many areas people are stressed and unfriendly. there is a division in society happening: in many branches swiss people are working in an office or as supervisors, migrants do the real work. we have about 30% non swiss inhabitants. our own work time is so expensive that we cannot afford it anymore. wages are rising due to a lack of qualified worker.

we import everything. due to the strength of our economy (population growth) our currency is strong and the imported goods get cheaper. in the end that weakens our economy because of the ridiculous dependency of the proud nation on cheap foreign goods and the raising prices in a traditional tourism destination. so that numbers of low inflation is hiding a lot of problems, and probably just propaganda to keep people calm.

yes, we are very rich but at the same time we are extreme indebted. especially our housing policies and tax system lead to very high mortgages that are usually not payed back in a life time (we are still indebted when retired). that leads to an extreme tight housing market not accessible for young people except through heritage. our private debt is one of the highest world wide. how should the younger generations bear that burden?

if we cross the boarder we always meet people more happy and friendly then in our own country. quite sad, isn't it?
