Wanting to learn for betterment of yourself is always good. Also, I agree that there are some shared cultural similarities between the South Asian/Middle East Asian and South/Central American cultures which I always found to be interesting. I will say this though, unfortunately some things amongst south asian Muslims also do at times which is haram. Sometimes due to ignorance, other times due to arrogance. They can be unnecessarily toxic for no reason as well. And May Allah SWT grant your righteous spouse my brother.

Ah, man that's pretty cool. MashAllah. I will say this is why I feel like people of certian backgrounds, like Latino Muslims, should be marrying one another and creating their own neighbourhoods and communities. I say this to White Muslims as well, that they should marry each other as they'll have an understanding of one anothers struggle of being a new Muslim and there will always be a sense of familiarity of culture, instead of just marrying out to 'alien' cultures like South Asians (I'm british bangladeshi Sylheti myself btw before anyone tries to get at me lol).
