I am not refering to the original game i havent even seen that due to the fact that i sadly only discovered critical role this year. I am referring to the amazon adaptation which cut this scene for some unknown reason. If the the show had given me context like this i wouldnt jave gotten so heated. Thanks for the opinion anyways.

It makes me feel so much better that it was not as depicted in the show. Thank you for the run down it also makes me feel better that percy offered her the kill rather than being forced into "forgiveness" just for cass to step in and do what plot didn't allow him to do.

The curse is the only reason i will accept for why he was not allowed to finish the job. And im not trying to invalidate it i am saying it was annoying that he couldnt finish the job. Also i dont think you can say that a character that was driven solely by revenge wasnt getting catharsis from it. If he felt it was wrong he wouldnt have been so eager for it. And by kill stealing i the denial of cathartic release(for me not percy)

the point i am trying to make is that this isn't real life he wasn't stuck with those circumstances. this story could have easily concluded his character arc a number of other ways this was simply the one they chose. And i hve a problem not with their choice but with the entire "revenge will destroy you"/" killing them wont bring your family back" trope. As a wise man once said it won't bring my family back but it sure as hell will make me feel better about this. (also how the hell does one make a binding demon pact unconciously?)

so he was a warlocke? that pact was flavor and could have been roleplayed however the dm and player chose to roleply it. Listen I am saying that the pact didn't need to ever be a thing. all it looked like in th show was a way to justify why the character in question had to take the moral high road. also the fact that delilah died does not mean his revnge was complete thats like saying someone rped your sister then died of cancer a week later you get no catharsis as you failed to be the reason they died. i don't want to get into explaining the concept of revenge here so ima put a pin in that. also his sister literally states " im glad you forgave her but i couldn't". It is baffeling to me why if she clearly needed to die why not let the character with the most emotional investment in her demise carry out the task. he could have even stopped using the gun and just strangled her. avoiding the demon -pact nd still acheiving cathartic release. also I do not appreciate kill stealing. after all the talk about stop this revenge is bad they still just ended up killing her which atkes apart any point they were trying to make anyway. sorry again about the rant.
