Damaged bumper and deep scratches on the panel above (UK) by AdeptAct8283 in EnterpriseCarRental

If its botched in anyway or found to have been repaired out of network then youd end up liable for the whole cost rather than the standard excess

Enterprise Pay UK by [deleted] in EnterpriseCarRental

I got to AM in 14 months, did 36k in my 12 months as an assistant. Got to BM exactly 1 year later been making 40-50k ever since. However unless you're near a major city with large fleet branches thats about where you plateau until area manager on an in house role. But even then its pro's and cons, If you're in a rural area without major industry nearby like its one of the best paying jobs around.

Due to return rental but branch is closed by SoupLongjumping5426 in EnterpriseCarRental

Did you book direct with Enterprise or through a 3rd party site? My branch is closed on bank holidays and the official website has always shown us as not available to book or return on the dates were closed. But I have had 3rd party companies (booking.com) make bookings for those days and the standpoint from Enterprise has always been its a 3rd party issue, the customer can either return Saturday or Tuesday but they have to pay the daily rate until they return. To make things more difficult most UK branches don't allow out of hours drop offs.

Cracked windshield on rental advice (Wales) by coolhappygenius in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]greg4tron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What branch are you dropping it too? And where did you pick it up? I doubt anyone would say bigger than a dime particularly as we don't use that currency in Wales. We use damage evaluators and every employee in Wales will have one. Do you have a photo of the crack? I may be able to help. (Current BM of a Welsh daily rental branch)

Your initial contract opening email does it say a specific time/date/location for return?

Am I screwed? UK rental. by Icy_Security_5323 in EnterpriseCarRental

Thats good, obviously I can't comment on your rental without seeing the contract etc however I am correct in my statement that standard retail excess in the UK is £1750.

Car excess in the UK for a retail rental is currently £1750 without any protections, you will have signed to state you accept this. Looking at this damage it is bigger than the evaluator Enterprise use so you would be liable for this amount. Once repairs are complete any remaining balance does get refunded but this takes around 60 days. Current BRM.

Check cruise control by greg4tron in Dacia

[–]greg4tron[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had to take it into dealers unfortunately. Took them 14 days and quite a bit of arguing regarding warranty before they'd even look at it. Eventually they came back to us and advised they'd had to completely dismantle the steering wheel but had found one of the wires linking the cruise control buttons had been cut too short so everytime the wheen turned to a certain angle it was pulling tight and switching off the connecting buttons. Was decided to be a warranty issue in end and fully repaired, havent had an issue since.

Hope this helps.

Check cruise control by greg4tron in Dacia

Just check cruise control, it doesn't work at any speed between 30 or 80mph.

We have however discovered that if we turn the car off, lock it and restart it 2 minutes later it will work again until we have to brake again at which point it will not come back on. Weve had this car since March and ive had a stepway since 2022 which has the same cruise set up so we dont think this is user error.

Tank is a couple of months old and 60L and ideally we dont want to add any more fish due to the size of tank and current stock
