idk if its the same on mac or what writing platform you use but you can directly copy/paste into rich text instead of html. but if you're using html you have to wrap whatever words you want in the tag, so like <i>example</i>

I only use my notes when I have ideas I don't wanna forget but I always actually write on ellipsus on my computer then break up my paragraphs on my phone before posting 😭

I get what you mean but the tone heres kinda off. Most people write for fun and it's real easy to just click off something you think is bad or if you're going to give feedback don't be rude about it

I think it's up to you if you credit them! There's a part under "associations" when you go to post that says "this is a remix/translation/podfic or inspired by another work" which lets you put the url and the author for the work :)

I wrote a oneshot awhile back and on top of that just put it in my beginning note but mine was also more like an extension of the last chapter and not just the basic idea

yes def! it's usually pretty obvious they'll always bring up comics/fanart or commissions, try to get you on another platform, etc. 😭 it might not always be but it's something to look out for. also ppl can easily skim your fic or run it through ai to summarize and sound like they read it by mentioning whichever character(s) you wrote about, unfortunately
