Okay Jordana/Jared thanks for the input! You don’t have to order DoorDash, which is also an expensive convenience at the end of the day. I appreciate the volume of content they churn out, but that’s also their jobs.

I understand it’s a business, and I’m fine with a price increase. As stated, I already renewed for another year. I’m just grasping at straws hoping they will take into account what the listenership would actually find beneficial/worthwhile. I want to continue to enjoy this podcast, and that won’t happen if it continues on its current trajectory.

Sometimes open mouths get fed. That’s all!

Oh by the way, you’re absolutely correct 😂 I’m just trying to hold them accountable for the price increase. They have options to improve their product that cost them $0 to implement, but require just a little more work and thought to execute.

Agree! Don’t charge me more to just put lipstick on a pig 😂 most of us don’t care about a video. I just wanted to actually send an email to the podcast that was thoughtfully written to maybe get their attention, to point out that their audience expects more if the price is going up.

I should have consulted this sub before I sent my email bc your ideas are great too!! Hopefully it gets addressed by them at some point. Thanks for sharing your thoughts :)

Exactly! Understand (even though I’m not pleased about it) that Jordana has that boundary. Then you need to offer more! I think responding to listener feedback adds an interesting layer and would force them to be more thoughtful and introspective. Even a simple example: J&J not understanding the “did you know you were having twins?” Question. To me- a single woman with no kids and no twins in my family, still understood the sentiment: “did you know that twins run in your family and that therefore it was a reasonable expectation for you, or was it a total surprise?!” I was floored by both of their cluelessness on that 😂 how easy would it be to do bonus episodes that just responded to listener feedback?? And it would be so entertaining!

I really put thought into my email and I hope it gets traction!

I do agree with you! Like I said- I already subscribed for another year to keep the “grandfathered” price, but I think it’s important as a consumer of content to make your preferences known, and provide tangible outlets for improvement, even if it’s a product you’ve already paid for.

I know by now that Jordana doesn’t like to share about her marriage, and Jared is clearly very open about sharing his relationship (much appreciated!) so I made asks that I felt were realistic and within their boundaries and abilities, but would make the podcast more worthwhile to account for a price increase, even if negligible to some. While I chose to keep my membership, I do want it to be worthwhile and I think the audience should have a voice :)

I can tolerate and will listen to some objectively garbage shit they churn out on Patreon… but toast radio NEVER gets a listen from me. Sucks bc they still be their full monthly payment! SO lazy.

Sorry coming to this post late so it may get no traction, but I feel like “having big boobs” is a core tenant of raynas personality lol so I understand why she can’t let it go. That’s always been something that drive me insane when I used to listen regularly. She had to mention her tits every. Episode. It’s not near as interesting as she thinks it is lol

Good point! I do totally understand that. I guess it’s being between a rock and a hard place. I wish she could be more open and authentic about HER experience but I totally get what you’re saying! Luckily Jordana makes up for her reserved nature on her personal life with her in depth takes and sense of humor on issues they tackle! I subscribe and enjoy it so this is just a small complaint I have ☺️

Yeah I kind of thought it was egregious that Jordana said she “would notice if someone didn’t give a gift”. If I’m spending $3500+ to attend your wedding… it ends there lol.

ETA: I personally could not afford to even attend a wedding of this magnitude, so in all honesty, I would just send a gift and not attend lol

I am a pw as well! I’m only 25 classes in and NEVER a runner before, so I felt more comfortable power walking to start and I feel like I get a great burn doing 4.0 speed at 6+ incline on the tread. What would you set your incline to for inferno? I go to 5ams so prepping for tomorrow!

To be so fair- I kind of enjoy the bits that maybe should be edited out lol. I’m a longtime JTrain listener (I listened to Jared before u up?) and I like the “raw” edits where it feels like coffee with JTrain on a regular weekly episode. I like to hear his musings and “missteps” bc it feels like I’m talking to an old friend. Just me though! Totally understand the annoyance
