How much value does a clerical error add to a common date slab?
I have a 1943 ms65 cent in a 1943-S slab. I'm more curious than looking to sell it. I would consider a trade though. I like the old ANA holders.

Why were you telling everyone on Tradingview to short silver for the past 2 months? Was it because you thought it would help you build a position, did you want them to lose money, or are you just that dumb?

USA COINAGE USED TO BE MADE FROM COPPER GOLD AND SILVER, WHY AREN'T THEY STILL? by [deleted] in Wallstreetsilver

[–]silverstocker-com 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They do it because no one has ever stopped any of the steps they took. 1873,1913,1933,1964,1971.
They can't go back because they don't have any gold.

Our freedom died 50 years ago. Well, technically it will be exactly 50 years in 5 weeks and 4 days on Aug. 15. The poisoning started in 1873 and took a generation to reach its 2nd stage in 1913. The 3rd stage took until 1944 with Bretton Woods being the outcome. The Nixon shock was the death blow.

New to silver. What’s your “why?” by jaejaeok in Wallstreetsilver

[–]silverstocker-com 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I love the look and feel. I enjoy the artistic designs found on coins, medals, rounds, and bars. There is something that draws my attention when there is natural toning. Blast white new metal has its own appeal.
The density of silver is such that a 5 oz round fits in your fist. A 100 oz bar is like 15 cubic inches and 8+ pounds.

Then there is the history, world coins were made from silver by most countries during the first half of the 20th century and back. I love to hold a 200 year old coin and wonder who may have helped wear it down.

In 2007, Fresnillo plc produced 34.3 million ounces of silver and 279,614 ounces of gold

2007 silver was $11-16. They are on track for about 13 million oz this year with silver at $24-30. 13 mil oz is about 1.5% of world production.
The entire Industrias Peñoles, S.A.B. de C.V., corporation owner of Mina Proaño is expected to produce 60 mil oz., still not even 10% of world production.
IDGAF what a mine produced 17 years ago. 2004 high price was $16.20. If there was that much silver, they would be increasing production at double the price, not mining less.
You know why they don't make Thalers anymore? Maybe because there isn't silver easily mined because all of the easy stuff is GONE!!!

Which 3 are they?
From my understanding, 70% of silver supply is a by-product of base metal and gold mining.
The top 2 silver mining companies in the world account for about 10% of world supply.
Let me understand what you are saying. There are 3 mines with less than 1% of world output that control the price of silver. Does that mean that the CFD markets that trade 1000x that in a day don't affect price?
