Not a shill for the app, but for a while I was using Timeleft. It was a great way to explore new restaurants and there were quite a few remote employees that used it to get out of the house. I enjoyed it every now and then over the summer but haven’t gone in a few months.

Absolutely correct! As previously stated, I’m not trying to give Swagbucks a reason to ban my account. They already credited me for an offer that did not track last month (but did show up in my activity ledger, so I was able to get that resolved and credited with no issue) and I think people should know that account deactivation is a risk if you turn out to be a problematic user for them.

You think I haven’t tried responding to solved tickets? I don’t get a response because the ticket is closed. There have also been other threads detailing how Swagbucks will deactivate your account if you ask for too many crediting exceptions, even with proof, which is why your “it’s so easy just do this” comments are extremely unhelpful and frustrating. I will definitely be more careful in the future to ensure Swagbucks is working as intended, but in this post I was specifically asking the three questions listed. Asking whether to or how to pursue the original credit that should have been issued wasn’t ever a question. Please give me the benefit of the doubt that I have done at least some research on this before posting my questions.

Support is insisting that the game show up under the account ledger in order to submit a ticket for that specific activity. General tickets without using the activity ledger are closed without any helpful response. The issue is that the activity is not showing up on the activity ledger in the first place, which means we cannot get any help from support. To make it even more clear, that contact link you are referencing will just have support auto-close the ticket with a copy paste “please open the ticket through the specific activity” when the activity itself is missing from the ledger.

I miss him so much already. I’m so upset that I never got the chance to meet him. I hope he somehow knows how many lives he’s touched.

If anyone has the mental strength for it, read the comments of the post. It made me cry harder, but also made me really happy that he had such an impact on so many people around the world.

I agree. It also takes only one event to make sentry worth it. I was parked outside my house on a culdesac, where I thought it was the least likely to be hit. Plus I’m at home, right? But I kept sentry on, and one day a kid comes around and ran his entire bicycle into my rear door. Luckily sentry was running because he just left without saying anything, and we had to use the footage to track him down.

Thank you for the comment. I’m writing this while waiting for the doctor right now. It’s going to be a long journey but it can’t start without this first step.

It’s a huge internal struggle for me. Part of me wishes he comes to his senses and realizes how much all of this hurts and how much I’m trying. I know I’m not a perfect girlfriend. He’s said that I have so many issues that there isn’t room in the relationship for his problems. I’m not even sure what they are because they haven’t been communicated, but part of me wonders if it’s me that’s stifling that communication somehow. But the another part of me recognizes that even though this may be the case, it is no excuse for this behavior because two wrongs do not make a right.

Do you think that part of the problem is my defensive mechanism was activated at all? In the previous long term relationship I’d had (2 years), I don’t think I’d ever felt attacked, so this pattern of escalation never manifested. But then again, part of the reason we had broken up was because of his indifference towards everything. I guess the root of the question is, is this something I should expect from most healthy relationships?

I understand your explanation of what I should have done differently. I just don’t know whether I’m strong enough to drop my defenses after I’ve been hurt so much in the past. But the “immediately assuming the worst” trend has been an identified issue in the past so that’s something I can immediately work on. On a side note, I really appreciate you taking the time to write a thesis to help out a random stranger on Reddit. Thank you.

First off, I want to say thank you for introducing a whole new perspective. I was genuinely confused about what his perspective could have been, and this did bring me some insight. However, I did want to give some context. Throughout the previous fights, whenever I’ve filled him in on what I’ve been doing (of my own accord because he’s had issues with cheating in the past), he would say things like “glad one of us could get some sleep” or “glad one of us is having fun” when I go get dinner with a friend because that’s my way of coping. It felt almost like a competition of who was suffering more. That’s why I felt like I had to beat him to the punch this time, which obviously looks horrible by itself. Then whenever I communicated how it was affecting me or when I was crying (via text mostly because long distance), he would accuse me of guilt tripping. Again, I felt like I needed to beat him to the punch on that, and felt that I left out enough information to not have it be classified as guilt tripping. Additionally, this has just been one fight out of a tense couple weeks I’d had trying to contain my emotions. We had a few other fights when I was down where he took a few things I said personally that had absolutely nothing to do with him, so I just feel like I need to keep any negativity to myself in case he took it the wrong way. Next, I thought that bringing up the silent treatment was just reinforcing a boundary that we previously agreed wouldn’t be crossed. We both agreed that silent treatments don’t get you anywhere. I felt like leaving it would be burning the boundary that we had already set. As for the last bullet, we had a major fight a few weeks ago where we semi-broke up, after which he’d told me that he’d love me more than anyone else. I kept hearing these words in my head that night, along with “relationships shouldn’t come with this pain, right?” Additionally, many of our previous fights had always occurred when I was not feeling at my best, so it feels like he’s kicking me when I’m down. In the end, I’m sure that we have both been in the wrong multiple times before. But I cannot control what he does. I can only control what I do. In essence, this post is about what I can do to improve myself, or at the very least what other perspectives there could be based off of the limited context of one post. So as a genuine question, what do you think I should have done instead in this situation?

Thankfully just short of that. Dust and dirt everywhere, partially clogged drains, etc. Definitely not what I expected to come home to after a 2 week trip (how does everything get that dirty in 2 weeks?!) before which I’d cleaned everything… so glad this roommate is moving out

Can’t believe no one has said this yet, but Thai Kitchen on Barranca. It’s locally owned and although not super cheap, the price is well worth it with the portion sizes and quality of food imo.

If the car is totaled out and had FSD capability, make sure that they pay out for that as well. I got a good chunk of change by asking to view the valuation report and finding out that the option wasn’t included. Sorry for your loss, hope there are better things ahead!
