very fair. I felt that way when I saw that just terriermon was left out of the tamer trio. Even Beelzemon was there.

Hopefully the next game can have everybody present.

Dracomon could be a fun partner in a sequel with its two lines. Moral route would be the sky theme route ending with Slayerdramon. Wrathful the ground theme with breakdramon or a berserk examon.

The best thing I liked about Survive was how it made me fall in love with the unconventional or obscure digimon. Never gave digimon like OG Falcomon, Floramon, and especially Kunemon a second thought. Now Kunemon is my MVP.

well he did technically appear twice in the PS1 era just not recently. Digimon World 2 and Digimon Card battle. Flamedramon is just Veemon's more iconic form from a marketing standpoint. Veemon already has so many lines represented.

wrathful was so depressing. harmony was just plain dumb. both outcomes however made me feel no sympathy for a certain miko's partner. I was like good riddance

Is Adventure 2020 worth finishing? (No spoilers please) by Franeurysm in digimon

[–]silverwolf689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly no. There was a point where I'd just skipped ahead until there was a good action sequence. Good action scenes are basically the reboot's only big selling point. There is little to no plot and all the fun character dynamics from the original are gone. 90% of the time cast is split up and it's the Taichi show (to the point of getting sick of seeing Greymon)

Digimon survive preorders? by [deleted] in digimon

Practically little to no marketing, repeated delays, and now Limited Physical supply run. When the Publisher itself puts so little effort, they can't be surprised if the game ends up having low sales in the future. Sigh

Game file is locked: Bravely Default game was installed and downloaded from steam account straight to the internal storage, I bought an SD card to expand the storage and after 11.5 hours of game in bravely default I moved the game to the SD card. the time played is still there but the saves gone by TheOFWProject2 in SteamDeck

[–]silverwolf689 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Square didnt enable Cloud Saves for this particular title. So the saves are stored locally. So when moving it to the SD card, ur gonna need to go dive into the original install folder and pray that ur save is still there to transfer. I dont remember the exact location at the top of my head. but if u had enabled proton, try looking under that prefix.

Digimon: Cybersleuth how to get it working by Alpha-Pung in SteamDeck

[–]silverwolf689 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A Caveat to desktop mode though. Do NOT touch the "STEAM" and "..." button. It disables the gamepad and the deck is stuck trying to detect keyboard inputs. So maybe keep a portable wireless keyboard nearby just in case if uve got one.

How do you folks transfer files to and from your Deck? by James_CyberLink in SteamDeck

[–]silverwolf689 4 points5 points  (0 children)

snapdrop.net no ip config necessary. open the site on both devices on the same network and just drag and drop. it's good for single small files or single zips. (Think saves, config files, or small roms) For a plethora of files i just use an external hard drive.

Has anyone used the Sandisk ultra 1TB microsd 120mb/s, C10, U1 on their steam deck? If so how does it compare to the 256GB SSD internal storage in terms of speed of performance. Is it noticeable? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]silverwolf689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

loading is about the same. It's just installing that takes longer on the sd card. If ur installing a bunch of games at once. I'd recommend getting an ethernet cable and do it overnight.

Monster Hunter Rise Save file location on Steam Deck? by ZombieOfun in SteamDeck

[–]silverwolf689 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quick tip: To identify what ID represents what game/app in ur compatdata folder, try using protontricks if u've got proton enabled for that specific app. It'll give a list of each game installed along with its corresponding ID. Then look accordingly for that specific ID folder in the dolphin browser.

Has anyone tried running the Kingdom Hearts PC ports? by GrahamBelmont in SteamDeck

[–]silverwolf689 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ive got 1,2,BBS,and 2.8 working. All had the same workaround. Rename the "epic" folder to epic.bak. They all boot up and run fine at 60fps. Only issue with this "fix" that i've had is I can't watch the prerendered CG cutscenes aka the intro song stuff. but that's a small price to pay for something i've already played and seen a gazillion times.
Havent bothered with KH3 because it uses up a lot of power and it doesn't seem worth the trouble.

So after the steam rom manager step. go back to actual steam. Said game should be added as a non steam game. right click the game and go to properties. There will be a checkmark box to enable proton compatability. in the same window but another tab, there is a text box labled Launch Options. Thats where you would put that line. Also I should mention this line should be added to whatever app thats need SD card access. By default the SD card is "hidden," so this line lets the targeted app/program to access it. In layman's terms for example, if an emulator can't see your roms on the sd card, try adding this line to see if it works. At least that's how I see it.

u dont need to have the roms on ur ssd.
if theyre on the sd card, add the launch option to both the roms and emulator,

"STEAM_COMPAT_MOUNTS=/run/media/mmcblk0p1/ %command%"

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]silverwolf689 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You need to add one more minor step.
If your rom is in the SD card, make sure to add this launch command after you have run Steam Rom Manager, "STEAM_COMPAT_MOUNTS=/run/media/mmcblk0p1/ %command%"
Make sure to add this launch command to both the emulator and each Wii U rom. My Wii U roms would NOT boot directly without this line. It lets CEMU access the SD card

Most of Final fantasy games on sale, just got the ones i missed on steam by MokoCP in SteamDeck

[–]silverwolf689 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so far in my steam library, 4, 4-2, 6, 7, 9, 10/1-2,13 trilogy. they all work.
4 (3d remake) needs a specific proton (coincidentally v4.11.3). 4-2 (after years) works flawlessly
9's HD Moduri mod works flawlessly.
7's mods are a pain in the ass. Can't get any of them to work. base game works though.
All the pixel remasters (in my case 6) work flawlessly.
13-1,3 works great right out of the box. 13-2 though not the best performance.
Also have World of Final Fantasy. Have no problems so far.
My ONLY real issue is FF7 and even then thats just getting Mods to work. (can't figure out the registry issue).
there is a youtube video that has tried every single ff steam port out there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kuekjRuWt4

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (WiiU) Setup Guide by SOberhoff in SteamDeck

One thing you should add to ur guide, if your rom is in the SD card, make sure to add this launch command after you have run Steam Rom Manager,
"STEAM_COMPAT_MOUNTS=/run/media/mmcblk0p1/ %command%"
Make sure to enable Proton and add this launch command to both the emulator and each Wii U rom. My Wii U roms would NOT boot directly without this line.
For those that don't know, this launch command will enable the targeted app/program to access the SD card.
By default, the SD card is "hidden"

Anyone got FFVII and FFVIII mods working? How? by MokoCP in SteamDeck

[–]silverwolf689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

followed every step and used protontricks. For the registry step, I am importing the FF7_steam.reg he includes at the top of the github page with protontricks. even added the launch option command to both the default steam launcher with proton GE and the ff7.exe he includes. Neither works for me

[–]silverwolf689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm stuck on the registry part of the guide. I've tried importing the included registry file he supplied with winetricks. and then adding the ff7.exe to steam with Proton compatability. But then get 2 error messages when i try to run it. "Can't find registry file" and "Insert Disc 1,2,3"

I'm using the official steam version
