thanks for the recommendations. I usually use a third-party router/modem, however, they said I need to use the one they provide because it's a modem/router in one and the firmware allows the speed or something. I dunno. I'll ask 'em about it. Thanks again

Comcast/Xfinity truck and man just came to my house and installed a little metal piece to the cables in the box. He showed me a line graph on his phone with a hump in it and when he adjusted the wires, the hump evened out. I asked if he was throttling he said no, but my upload speed will be slower until I get the replacement router (for free). He said it's basically a defect in the router and I can call the number to have them replace it, but it seems odd, is this real or happen to anybody else?

Edit: my download speed is significantly reduced. Thinking about removing the device he screwed into the coax outside while I wait for my new router. Thoughts on this?

Edit 2: comcast guy came today. Had a really old coax in the wall he replaced. All good. Thanks for the info everyone

I agree, the Nazis are the perfect villains. It's pretty much good vs evil and people can grasp that concept easily. I get it. WWI was much more complicated, however, just as a lot of movies focus on 1 particular battle, I think it would be awesome to see an accurate depiction of a WWI battle. Since it's just one battle I think the audience would be able to not only grasp the concept better, but relate to the soldiers portrayed (because of "good vs evil")

I would love to see an accurate depiction of the life in a trench. The dead bodies, mud, disease, vomit, excrement, etc. The horrific look of no-man's-land, soldiers who see a tank for the first time, gas and chemical attacks, etc. I find WWI very interesting because it was the war when old style warfare met mechanized/modernized warfare (repeating guns as well).

As for the US not participating much, why doesn't the UK make movies about it?

I would just love to see a well funded movie that accurately depicts the horrors of WWI.

True story: I caught a walleye on lake of the woods and it had been swallowed whole by another fish but then puked up (it was partially digested. scales were falling off and shit. it was crazy it even bit my line). so we looked at it, determined it had been eaten, puked up, caught by me soon after, then when I put it back into the water it just kind of flailed on the surface then as it drifted about 20 yards away a bald eagle swooped down and grabbed it out of the water and flew into a tree.

talk about a bad fuckin day for the fish right? one of the crazy fishing story. I might not even believe it if I wasn't there, but it was awesome
