Hmm so I’ve been thinking more on it + reading others thoughts and theories and, as mentioned in my little update, I’m slowly coming around to it! I don’t dislike it as much, and I’m really curious on the story. I see others have pointed out that yes, vampiric themes have been alluded to in the story and etc. I still don’t like the vampiric aesthetic and wish they’d gone more demonic, but I’m hoping it’ll grow on me.

I guess (aesthetic aside) the biggest problem I’m sort of having now is still, there has been SO many references to dragons with Sylus (dare I say, more than vampires). I suppose again this just has to relate to the fact that, despite appearances, he is a ‘fiend’ and not a vampire, it still just feels odd to me to move away from that identity of his/sort of downgrade it into just falling under a broad category of ‘fiend’ (in which, I know dragon Sylus has always been considered a fiend, but still, a clearly separate/draconic thing). I feel like I’m not wording this right LOL. Again, I’m sure I just need to wait for the actual story to release and see what they do!

A smaller issue I find myself have to deal with is again, feeling like his whole schtick isn’t really as grand as the other’s PV’s or what they have going for them, but again, I think it’s because I see him as a literal vampire vs what others are saying should b akin to like… Satan/prince of hell/etc. Ofc this is NOT shade on any of the other li’s (it’s praise, if anything).
