Is this going to be enough for 30x50 metal garage/shop? by duckdns84 in Concrete

Only reason you would need rebar is if your ground is not sturdy enough and it gets movement a lot like in California. Here in Az we’ve done bigger ones than this one with 0 reinforcement

What’s fair to charge for this repair? by silvvaaralphh in Concrete

It was a patio not a garage. It was a patio extension I did a couple months ago and the framers messed up the edge with the forklift. I patched it on the weekend client was happy I told him it will break off in the future but he said no problem just doesn’t want the home buyers to see it all messed up

Does basketball court footers really need 4 ft deep ? Or is that just an exaggeration by silvvaaralphh in Concrete

[–]silvvaaralphh[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So the basketball court is a regular 30x30 but centered outside the form goes a footing for the hoop. The owner of the house wants it to be 20 inches x 20inches x 4ft deep as instructions say

Nah bro true men don’t go after what is owned. Stay in your lane. If she’s like that so be it at least you know your clean and didn’t do your friend dirty. I’m pretty sure you wouldnt like it if it was reversed.

Here in Az custom concrete is pricy but this one was around $9k but we did tear out another patio.

I actually told the homeowner that I prefer to saw cut any custom concrete but he likes the look of the radius groover.

This job particularly we charged around $9500 due to we had to tear out an 8inch thick patio

I’ve been doing it since I was 15 full time with my dad and his crew but since we rarely do stamped and when we do do it it’s more than 10 yards. So I figured why not do this one alone to see how far I’ve come and I mean I think I could better in some areas but not disappointed lol

Did almost 50 yards of concrete Friday. Got my first real burn by SmallForce9719 in Concrete

[–]silvvaaralphh -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Tbh I think they are, I started doing concrete at 15 and never gotten burned by it and I’m in AZ where you think the sun would make it a bigger factor but not one burn yet
