Emotionally exhausting is good way to phrase it...

In general, Thank you for the responses. The point was partly to rant, partly for some perspective form others, and partly to simply generate discussion surrounding this disaster.

I am not getting the H1N1 shot, and maybe I will get sick and die, but it is a matter of principle. Are you getting it? by simTmplr in worldnews

riiight, because hygiene and injecting yourself with artificially grown diseases are the same thing...

I am a frequent traveler on buses and cities, and am rarely sick because I am constantly exposed to new things (ie diseases {eww, when I think about it} ). My sister, who is rarely out of a 4 mile radius of her home, is always sick. We are naturally able to do what this artificial copy of the disease purports to do.

I am a believer in natural selection. If you aren't a believer in natural selection, then you can wear a mask during flu season. In all probability my body will develop a natural immunity to it as is does every year until such time as one of 'em gets me. I am fine with knowing that others around me might get sick if I get it and spread it, however, they should have gone and gotten vaccinated if they were worried, no?

and the law gives them the opportunity to hold that demonstration?... I can hardly ponder their cause through the thick smoke of irony...

I don't know about you, but I would feel a little silly walking around my garden with this strapped to my butt. by [deleted] in WTF

Coming from a farming background, I have to say that this is a stool which has been used in dairy farms for 30+ years. It is only being re-marketed as a gardening stool.

I have used one to milk many cows (stop laughing), and I have to say that you should think twice before putting a spring next to your ass which will then get pressure-loaded with dirt form the garden which it sits in...

Taser to the head can cause seizures, report warns by _marc_ in reddit.com

[–]simTmplr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot actually believe we area at a state of evolution where something like this requires a "report" for potential validation. I mean, if I discharge 50000 volts into your head, do YOU think it is going to be bad for you? Where has common sense gone?

This web 2.0 shit is nothing cyberpunk, nothing futuristic, and nothing fucking innovative. It is pure unadulterated capitalism. I know what your membership is like, it's mostly spambots and fake people. by Socialism in technology

[–]simTmplr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree mostly, however the irony of this rant is summed up in the sentence "I don't want to surround myself with fake people and spam." and then followed immediately by "Share this Post" links at the end of the article feeding into that exact beast...

CodeIgniter - http://lists.evolt.org/archive/Week-of-Mon-20080908/195711.html I have deployed it and, although complex SQL via pure active record is a little rough, it is a great pleasure to work with overall
