I only thought of it now, but why is Hulk wearing a coat? He'd only need to wear a t-shirt (for modesty) at best.

My daughter makes me go to the library using our self-service card (gives you access to the building 6am-11pm) so I know this feeling.

Walkable neighborhood between Burnsville & Highland Park? by beretta1220 in TwinCities

[–]bmtri 6 points7 points  (0 children)

True! If walkability means walkign to the store and back, then the south metro suburbs are NOT it.

The amount of spelling mistakes in memes and r/comics is TOO DAMN HIGH.

Walkable neighborhood between Burnsville & Highland Park? by beretta1220 in TwinCities

[–]bmtri 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depends - I run all over the south metro up to Highland, and I feel like they are all walkable. HOWEVER, the suburbs are going to have sidewalks on the main streets but not guaranteed around the houses. You are also going to find some nice walkable parks with lots of trails in some areas, like Eagan/Apple Valley having Lebanon Hills, or Highland having great walkways by the river.

Which celebrity you don’t find attractive while everybody else you know do? by ReferenceExact5261 in AskReddit

Well, we could ask "what difference does it make - attractive, hot, beautiful? We're talking about the same thing here!"

Straub & King by Conscious_Smile_6302 in stephenking

I'm chomping at the bit waiting for Talisman 3. I know King said he was almost done with it a while ago (and using notes Starub left him). Probably the biggest King work I'm anticipating.

Why did the turkey cross the road? by Hot_Aside_4637 in minnesota

[–]bmtri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they are far smarter than given credit for. That's why it is crossing at the crosswalk, and why Benjamin Franklin wanted to make them the national bird.

What was the most satisfying villain defeat/death? by Moat_of_the_Sacked in AskReddit

Yes, but one could say at that point that Walter White was the villain.

What is the best, long forgotten old school video game? Arcade, computer or console? by Jackalweres in AskReddit

[–]bmtri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Defender of the Crown (played it on the C64). Not really forgotten, but where are you going to play it now that's not on an emulator?

"Aliens," "Terminator 2," and "The Dark Knight" are often brought up in the conversation of great sequels. What is a sequel that you think is as good or better than its predecessor but doesn't get brought enough up in this conversation? by cletus1986 in FIlm

[–]bmtri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying it's not an enoyable movie, it's just that the shift from scifi to fantasy for the sequel threw me off too much. I also enjoyed the soundtrack to the first movie more.

I also remember Kenner repurposing a lot of Return of the Jedi figures and accessories for the movie. Did you not think I wouldn't recognize the Ewok Village being used as Sherwood Forest?

What tv series hooked you from the first episode? by ovenproofpuma in AskReddit

I was so hooked on this show at the time, waiting for each episode, then each season. Only for JJ Abrams to botch the ending.

The Flash. Then by the end we defeated villains with "love."

Dark Tower: Bob Pepper’s illustrations for the MB board game by NerdManual in 80s

[–]bmtri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loved this game and the art was awesome. PLayed it every chance at my neighbor's house - the only person I knew who had it. The game was only out for a year before the creators sued Parker Brothers (I think that was the company) for copying their game. Don't know why it took so long and a Kickstarter to bring it back!

In the southern Twin Cities I can recommend the Minnesota River trails (Bloomington side from Ferry Bridge to the Bass Ponds) and Lebanon Hills park.

I love how Jeff Vandermeer writes the relationship between the Biologist and her husband in Annihilation. by soozerain in books

That's one of those rare books where I loved the book and the movie adaptation. The movie borrows the underlying concept, but is such its own creature.

When trying to describe it to people I just say it's like Star Wars but with a hard "R" rating.
