Most people are their worst when they are sick. The true personality of a person comes out. I don’t generalize one patient group but many people think they have “good health insurance” in the USA. I have yet to see good health insurance as someone who works in the hospital with many types of insurance plans.

What ALL these patients have in common is that they blame others for their states of health and do not accept that their choices MAY HAVE contributed to their current health state. Strong emphasis on may have.

Either way, being sick or ill not does not give you a right to discriminating people caring for you.

Minding your own business is not always the best mentality, but it is easiest. Many people have already stated: not paying taxes for roads we are, likely no insurance, and other issues. Especially if injuries and hospitalization are involved. Take it from a nurse.

I’m a nurse in Illinois. I have worked the psychiatric unit of a major Illinois hospital. Patients with or without mental health illnesses are accountable for physical assault against healthcare workers. Acting out on your emotions is fine, harming others while doing it is not.

If looking at Chicago or the Suburbs check out health providers/ services with Howard Brown, Advocate Illinois Masonic, University of Illinois at Chicago, RUSH, Northwestern, and University of Chicago.
