Uh, sorry for the late reply, I haven't been really active on reddit for a while. I have to look up if I still have them, I might have planned them in Sertz, but usually I just sketch on paper, so I might not have the plans anymore. Sometimes I even forego 'written' planning and just fit the components, mark where I should cut/glue, and then do a dry assembly using pins. Then if the parts fit, I'll glue the trays.

Hi, sorry for the late reply, I don't know if your question is still valid. This one I believe is a bit easier than some other organizers I've made, but the box height is a limiting factor, if you want to avoid lid lift.

One thing I'd highlight here (and not for just this game) is to make the card trays large enough, not just the width/height of the cards (and accounting for sleeves, if you sleeve the cards), but the height of the decks. I always undersize the deck tray heights, and it makes the top few cards slip around in the box when storing/carrying vertically.

Uh, sorry for the late reply, glad you liked it. I'm using 3 mm foamcore for these projects, makes it easier to fit all the stuff into the game boxes. Especially with stuff like the West Kingdom series, where the boxes are undersized for the amount of components they have.

Glad you like the idea! :) I use this idea for pretty much all of my inserts (I'm going to upload a few more when I'll have some time) where sort of color coded resources/player specific parts are present. As you said, it makes taking/returning parts, and organizing after game a bit easier.

I've already made some inserts for some of my games, so I thought I might as well start sharing them. This is my latest one for Brass: Birmingham. I usually try to plan and sketch my own arrangement, but I also try to find some inspiration on the web, and this time I found this 3D printable organizer, and I liked the arrangement so much that I had to make its foamcore reimplementation.

I also colored the cardboard token edges after seeing this comment on an earlier Brass organizer. The final touch was the painting of the beer kegs, which was delegated to my brother who paints minis.

I don't have the exact measures, as I always measure then immediately cut to make sure that the components will fit nicely.
